Got my bulbs from Amazon Japan tonight! Spent a couple minutes cleaning up the plastic covers, swapped bulbs and waited for the sun to go down.

Holy white light batman....i love these things. Tried the high beams and love that the lows stay on.

Wish I had these in Moab!!!! Definitely would have saved a couple hours of missed trail markers.
Best 122$ I've put into this truck.

How does one order from Amazon Japan? Can you share link?

Edit: Nevermind, I saw the link on page 6. Price is in Yen. How does one see it in US dollars?

when you go to check out it will give you the option to convert to USD.
it is a trip getting emails in Japanese. (google will translate for you)
DHL delivery was amazing too, sent several emails and text to let me know the status and delivery date.

Installed my set of IPFs this evening and am very pleased. They are as bright as the HID kit they replaced (not brighter) but the beam is much smoother. There are no hot spots like there were with the HIDs. As others have mentioned lane markers appear to stand out more. The bulbs are bigger and I did have to modify my dust caps to fit around them and still maintain the AFS functionality. Thanks to @Rkoz325 for pointing me in the right direction on that. Definitely a recommended upgrade.

Mine arrived today. Always good to see the brown truck stop in front of your crib.
And thanks to @cruiseroutfit for the cool sticker!

Finally got the bulbs from Morris. Took about a week and was shipped from ARB. And yeah, still haven't gotten a single reply from Morris. Even if I got the item, I will never buy anything from them ever again.

How does shipping from Japan to USA work? Do you have to pay customs duties/taxes?

Other than the language, ordering from amazon.jp.co was the same as ordering from amazon.com. I ordered the bulbs Saturday evening, my card was charged $122 on Sunday and I received the bulbs today (Wed.). Pretty fast imho.

Now if I could find find the full cargo mat or aux tank there. :)

I ordered a set for low beams based on this thread from Morris last Friday evening, and received yesterday morning (Wednesday) via FedEx. That was quick!

Install was easy. They look great in the day time. Will report back when I drive tonight. I was surprised how loud the fans were. (With the hood open and the engine off.) They seem like good quality when handling them.

When you install them, you can look though the front lens and see that the notches are all the way to the stop, meaning you've twisted it into place as far as it can go.

In the mean time, I put both the OEM bulbs in plastic and put them in the back storage area. I figure if I have any issues at some point, i can throw them back in.

Can you remind us again the advantage of ordering the bulbs on Amazon Japan over say Morris? Thanks.

Price. Looks to be ~$60 cheaper.

The advantage is...you will save about $60! :)

One other thing I noticed was the DRLs. The BeamTechs flicker like crazy under the half amperage of DRL mode.
The IPFs also flicker but it's much, much less. I only notice if I look at the beam reflected off a close wall or if I hold a piece of paper in front of the lens. Also the IPFs running at half current give off a different temperature. It almost has a slight green tint vs blue at full amps.
But all of this is minor and hard to notice. The IPFs do better than others operating in DRL mode.

Question is does low amps or flicker shorten the life of the LED? As far as I can tell the answer is no.
AFAIK - The enemy of LED is heat.

I ordered a set of the yellow LED fog lights from Japan two days after ordering the hi and low from Morris. I received them three days later, that’s one day before the ones from Morris. I really like the yellow fog lights.

From everything I've read, it's not going to do it any harm. An LED is just a diode, & if anything, heat is the threat. Low power means cool temps. I have a flashlight that uses one LED to go anywhere between 950 lumens all the way down to 1 lumen.

My headlight lenses are behind my ARB bull bar. Do the lenses need to be removed in order replace the bulbs with IPF bulbs? 2008 Land Cruiser.

No. They go in as easily as replacing standard bulbs. A little tight since the housing is longer, but worst case is you pull the battery simply to fit your hand in there.

Awww come on.... I just shelled out for these things now they release new ones. Really! Knock if off IPF! Jerks...

Yea those are the same type/fitment for the LC.

351 = HB3/HB4 = 9005/9006 = Excluding HID sockets, the LC uses those as high and low beams respectively.
301 = H11 = LC fogs. Excluding models/years with LED fogs.

IPF has both version 1 and version 2 of these.

Looks like the changes include a bigger fan and an LED shaped closer to a filament.
And holy smokes batman, they're brighter.

Probably okay for fogs but I'd be worried about using those as low or high beams and blinding folks.
The 3600lm version 1s seem really bright. Can't imagine what the 5000lm version would do.

Although they claim a color tone that is gentle to the eye and a wider/even light distribution.
Maybe that means even though you will be blinded it will be a "Go into the light" experience so you won't mind...

In seriousness, they are new/improved and IPF makes good stuff so the quality should be good.
Being new the price is high, and to me seems out of line. I'll be curious to see how they distribute the lumens.

When my fogs burn out I'd give these a look. Hopefully by then the price will have dropped.
If I needed lights right now I'd get another pair of the version 1s to match what I have.

On the flip side, now that a new version is out hopefully it leads to more price drops on the version 1s.

That's life in the tech world... :)
LED's tend to follow a similar pattern to computer chips.
Brightness and efficiency will continue to expand until they are so bright...no one can handle brighter...

I shelled out for the newer ones in hopes of not blinding on coming traffic. I feel bad everytime someone high beams me near daily and would pay extra $140 not to be that jerk on the road. 5000 lumens is an extra bonus, the 3600 lumens is nice but not even light and not intense enough, planning to put it in my 100.

I bought the 6500k fogs too to match colors (my 100 has 1 bad headlight and 1 bad fog). They came out to $79 for a pair from japan.
