Anyone tried Xenopro LED headlights?

I shelled out for the newer ones in hopes of not blinding on coming traffic. I feel bad everytime someone high beams me near daily and would pay extra $140 not to be that jerk on the road. 5000 lumens is an extra bonus, the 3600 lumens is nice but not even light and not intense enough, planning to put it in my 100.

I bought the 6500k fogs too to match colors (my 100 has 1 bad headlight and 1 bad fog). They came out to $79 for a pair from japan.

I've been high-beamed exactly ONCE with mine in the last couple months of use..and that was from a super-low-sitting Honda S2000. That's it! So...they must be aimed just right.

I hope you'll show us the results when you get them in. Interested to see how they turn out...

Forgive me I changed my mind and ordered version 1. I was worried about blinding on coming cars with 5000 lumens as opposed to 3600 even though they have technology to make it less annoying. I imagine the price of $119 is a clearance price in anticipation of the new model at $272. Thinking about getting this for my Ford E350 but not sure how to figure out size. When I google it it says 9007.

When I have time I am going to mess with how they aim. I like the spread right now especially when driving in my dark neighborhood late at night - the low beam illuminates more than 50+ feet ahead. I hope the LED fogs help with light intensity directly in front of the truck.

Heh no worries. I would have done the same.

I went with the IPF 301HLB Low Beam and the high beam 351HLB2. Anyone have any installation issues?
No problems with the low beam but the high beam push and twist never stopped twisting. They went in twisted and tightened up only slightly. Now they are not tight at all. And no way to remove them as they just keep spinning with the tabs stuck.

Strange. Mine definitely reached a stop point. Do you maybe need to remove the extra gasket that came with the bulbs? I think it came with an extra ring, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't needed on my install.

It has the small gasket on it which was the same size as the factory bulb. It won't come out now so not sure what to do. And it will likely vibrate around so the led will not stay to the sides.

There may be a screw that locks the ring with the locking fins in place. I seem to recall this is an adjustment on the IPFs to change the set position/rotation/angle of the light. They did this to accommodate different lenses and housings.

If this screw isn't tight it could lead to the fins/ring rotating while you're rotating the bulb in the lens/bulb housing.

If the bulb is stuck try pushing inward as you rotate - this may allow the fins/ring to rotate back to the open gaps and free the bulb.

This is the screw I'm referring to. (attached)

unfortunately the fin alignment screw is this one here. and it is hidden once the light is installed.

Try pressing inward as you untwist the bulb to free it. Then bulb in hand you can inspect/adjust/tighten that screw. I'm betting that screw is loose which why you can just keep twisting the bulb. From an alignment stand point you want the bulb to be vertical and to not to move around - otherwise it will mess with your beam pattern.

Now I'm confused. Are those high and low beam?? Guess so.

@NC237 said:

351 = HB3/HB4 = 9005/9006 = Excluding HID sockets, the LC uses those as high and low beams respectively.

I think my brain is tired tonight.........

Apologies for the edits and duplicate posts. I took the long way to grandmas house and finally caught up. Then even longer while HRTROB schooled me on older model years.

@Blasst - you are correct sir. The 351s are for low or high beam. --edit on the 2013-2015.

Thanks to HRTROB - the 301HLBs are for H11 which are the low beams for years 2008-2011.
Also points out that the 351HLBs are for the high beam in years 2008-2011. The same for 2012 if it existed in other parts of the world.

Being that @bj70cruiser has a 2009 his bulbs should have worked.
Perhaps the set screw, perhaps something is broken on the bulb or housing.

On second look of the pic @bj70cruiser sent and re-reading the original post I see that the 301s were being used for low beam.

That is the issue. The 301s are meant for fog and not low or high beam. They have a different locking ring and gasket. Thanks for pointing that out. I completely missed it.

See pic-
351 gasket is thin, the fins have a larger diameter and are to the outer of the gasket.
301 gasket is thick, the fins have a smaller diameter and are to the inner of the gasket.

The 301HLB are H11 and can be used as either low beam or fog as long as the original bulb is H11.

The 351 HLB can be used in both HB3 or HB4 housings. It comes with two o-rings/gaskets that you switch out depending on the housing you are putting them on (HB3 or HB4).

The fog light specific bulbs from IPF are FLB which I presume stands for "fog light bulb" while the 301 and 351 are HLB or "head light bulb"

^Yup - The LC 200 calls for HB4/HB3 in the Low/High as the original bulb.

Which means the 301 (H11) will not work in the high or low beam on the LC 200.
That's the point of these recent posts. Someone tried to use a 301 in the low beam on the LC200 which is not compatible.

Btw the 351HLBs I ordered did not come with any extra gaskets or rings.
Thank you for clarifying though.

I edited my post to specifically say the LC200 to avoid any more confusion.

Don't the 2008-2012 headlights use H11 for lows and HB3 for high beams? Your 351 should come with an extra set of o-rings. I have two sets of these and they both come with them

Mine just came with the bulbs and that was it. Nothing else. You can't see me right now but I'm shaking the box to see if something falls out.

There wasn't a 2012 model year - not here anyway - but the 2008-2011 does show HB11 as lows.

If he is driving a 2009 then his bulbs should have worked - not sure why he can't get his bulbs to lock into the sockets.

Sounds like you were given an open box item. It should come with a manual, L-shaped hex wrench, extra pair pf o-rings, and an IPF sticker
