I'm working through the list. Had a stupid amount of interest and even had a hiccup. Tax and Paypal fees... Since I'm not making any money off these, I have to charge $60 to cover the "in state tax" when buying them from them and then paypal fees...
E, not sure if you know about this, and I know it's not much, but if you accept Paypal as a "gift", there are no fees. So, that's $1.50 on $50 you've saved.

Putting the Honky Tonk Hotel up for sale.... Anyone interested pm.
It's a 89 jayco slide in pop up. I rebuilt the roof and updated the inside last year. Cold AC, propane heat. Sink and water tank. It will sleep 3 people. I took the cook top and fridge(runs on propane) out when I updated the inside. I use a Colman cooler that can be plugged in cigarette lighter or 110volt. Works pretty well. I had hope to put a arb fridge in one day. It would be easy to put the cook top back in but I always used a griddle. Camps great easy to set up. Looking to get 2000.00. I will post some pics in the next day or so.

This thing is a steal at $2000. Very nicely done like everything Todd does.

This is a bit of a misnomer. Ebay gets their money. Maybe on some super small amounts you can do this, but they make the sender take the fees when it gets above a certain amount.

What amount? I've never reached the amount and done this for several hundred dollars. For $60, I know the fee will not be applied.

I dont know the rules without reading them, but paypal is going to get paid somehow. They are not in the business for services for free. I know I tried it a few times when the fees were so ugly and they would not let me.

I know for a fact they won't take fees on $60 given as a gift. I've done this very recently, and no fees.

There are ways around the fees. But, by gifting, you pretty much give up any chance of Paypal helping should something go south between buyer and seller. That's why I only do it with people I know, can track down, or willing to risk it.

I took several payments as gifts ($450, $250), and they put a 30 day hold on my incoming monies shortly after that. They did recently lift it, and have no idea if the two were connected but I suspect they were.

Last time I was a purchaser of an item that was sold as a "gift" under PayPal, the fees were just shifted to ME!

Nolen's correct. The fees are being paid. The way the item is sold determines WHO is going to pay PayPal's fees....

Ahh... Here's the kicker - no fees IF you send as a gift AND you send no more than what is in your account. In other words, you must have money in your account.

Guess that's an important piece of the puzzle to mention...

My fault.

Well, hell. Now that I think about it, I'm all kinds of confused. I'll try to remember how this all works...

Todd does this camper slide in the back of the truck?

Jordan, the kicker to a "gift" is you're saying there is no merchandise involved and therefore no reason to dispute a purchase. Less work for Paypal. I've known folks to get burned that way... just saying be careful.

Correct. I only gift to people I know, can track down, or am willing to take a gamble.

Bought it from the 2nd owner in Marianna, Arkansas. Super nice guy with a couple super nice CJ-7s. His dad has a Scrambler with 4K ORIGINAL MILES that was bought new off the showroom floor. Incredible!!!

Plan is to leave it totally stock except maybe change the rims to Sequoia / Tundra 17s or 5-star 16s from a 4Runner. Just don't care much for these 01-02 4Runner 16s.

My favorite IFS body style ! nice !

jordan "gift" me some money and we can see if it works:lol:
