My guess would be to create the sense that "you better act now before they're gone," when, in fact, they're probably very easy to get. Reportedly selling only 1,662 200-series units in 2011, that put the LC in the top 10 of worst-selling vehicles in the U.S. (Source: Wikipedia, so activate your grain-of-salt detector)Why is that dealer saying it's rare to have one? Low production?
Not sure, but have they always had projector headlights? Maybe this is one '13 upgrade.....What changes since 2008?
Yep, and for some reason, the LC is catching up with the LX. Base MSRP on a '13 LX570 is "only" $81,805.....and with a few new exterior revisions, including Lexus' "spindle grille," the LX is actually starting to look a lot better than the heinous '08-'11 modelsI think they are just keeping their price point in line with Ranger Rovers, Mercedes Benz and BMW.
Plus every part on them has gone up in two years. Their production number is low so that also makes their cost higher.
80k is crazy. Just crazy.

Looking at sales numbers the LC is really dropping off the radar. Not sure how many of us will be driving these in 10 years.

Plain looking with a functional, spartan interior is not what attracts most to this market.
200 is a flop sales wise. Hate it.
