Somehow I got on their email list, but exploring thier products makes me curious. Seems like they're purpose built. The firehose idea seems interesting.

In any case, any have anything to say about products/service?

I have purchased from Duluth Trading a couple of times and each time has been trouble free.

If bought some of their mid-weight FH shorts, great quality and I got a free hat :grinpimp:. I've also bought other stuff that didn't fit and the return process was very painless. I plan to order more stuff in the future.

Good people. Good products. Good service. My only beef with them is they won't make their firehose pants in my size (30" waist). I bought a pair of denim jeans from them. Great pants. Their label on the inside had a sharp edge and was chafing me, so I removed it. I emailed them just to let them know about the problem with the label, and they offered to refund me even though I had already removed the label. Their shipping charges are a bit high, but about twice a year they have a free shipping sale or a free hat sale, so I save up my order and buy then...

"fire hose" is just a catchy name for duck cotton. You can buy dickies 12oz cotton duck carpenter pants at Wal-Mart for 15 bucks.

While this may be correct, the weave on my shorts from DTC is different than the weave on my cotton duck Carhartt's. Looks like a heavier (thicker) thread on the DTC shorts, yet with a softer "hand".

Not trying to knock Dickies workwear, I have some of those as well :)

I have a fire hose jacket and it wears like iron but the belly is a bit big for the size of the jacket. All their stuff is pretty good quality. Great store in Daloot MN.

Are you refering to the Duluth Pack store in Canal Park? They are actually a different company www.duluthpack.com As Photogod stated, great place with great products.

Duluth Trading is actually in Wisconsin if I remember correctly, I thought they were mail order only?

The two companies are definitely related. I think they used to be the same.

The Duluth Trading mail order warehouse and headquarters is now in Belleville, Wisconsin. Used to be in Duluth.

They sell many of the exact same products. They might be separate businesses now, though...

Land Cruiser is just a catchy name for SUV, you can get an Exploder SUV from the Wal-Mart parking lot for half the price of the LC.
Just saying, cotton duck pants are not all the same.:D

I have purchased many items over the years from DTC. Great customer service and 100% satisfaction guarantee. My only small gripe has to do with their somewhat high shipping/handling fees...
