I have a set of microfiche too. I bought a 40 from a guy who was an Asst. Parts Mgr. at Toyota Dealer. The 40 came with a pile of new parts along with the fiche that he happened to walk out with when he quit. It was b4 the internet, I used to go to the library and use their reader to confirm parts compatibility among differrnt yrs and models.

Our local Ford dealership doesn’t have listings going back to our ’97. They are on Microfiche and their reader is broken. One of the older parts staff said that it probably won’t be repaired. So I’ll be SOL if I need parts for my ’97.

Thankfully Toyota has been much better selling me parts for my ‘74. The only challenge is that my VIN # doesn’t align with 4 wheel disc brakes, a FF rear axle, ‘77 rear shocks, F250 front shock towers, and an ‘81 hardtop.
