Looking to add in some aux USB ports.
Did a quick search but mostly came up with late model 4runner info.
My interior is stock and I plan on keeping it mostly stock.

I replaced the pocket under the radio with USB and 12V. The 12V can double as USB and offer more flexibility.

@pappy love how you have everything set up there. Window controls and all.
What power did you tap into?

Dedicated wire off a fuse block under the hood.

My setup is similar to @pappy. I removed the cubby and replaced it with a panel instead. I added a dual usb/volt meter and three 12V power outlets.
The USB is wired through the ignition (no power unless motor running) The three 12v power outlets (also wired through ingition) are controlled through 6 gang switch panel (all on one circuit). The 12v power outlets are for dash cam, gmrs radio, spot light, ect..
I have a Bluetooth FM transmitter with 2 USB ports in the the stock 12v cigarette outlet. This allows me to stream music to my radio via Bluetooth to a dedicated FM channel & answer phone. My Midland GMRS radio also has a USB port as well.
