Anyone install an anti-theft device on their 70 series?
I've never owned a vehicle that someone else might want to grab.

Good news.....
If it's a diesel Cruiser and you notice it missing within a few hours, it's still within 75 miles of where it was taken. ;)
* If it has glow plugs and has to be "glowed", it's within 50 miles.

I have a battery disconnect switch on the ground side on my truck. It is a pain to use since the clock and radio memory will be lost when disconnected, but it has a removable key.

Look at http://www.wirthco.com/pdf/Battery Switches.pdf

At the top of the 4th page is something similar to what I have. Part number 20259-7

Yeah! That is exactly the kind of thing I need.
Do you have that switch under the hood or in the cockpit?

Maybe run a low amp bypass with fuse on it to keep the radio and clock happy.

I have a couple of dogs to sound the alarm, several rifles and a long driveway that is all visible from my house! Haven't lost a truck yet.

The funny looking thingy in between the seats with 1-5 and R on the knob is a helluva deterrent, nowadays.
And you have to push the left pedal to the floor to start it without smacking the chit out of something ....

TECH CONTENT....

Is that a factory tan?

And to think I don't even lock my Cruisers while they are at home. Perhaps I need to re-think that.

Based upon pictures you have posted on other threads, we realize that you're handy with a scattergun ;)

Tech Content: Where's the best place to mount a gun rack in a 73/74?

Long gun?

My gun rack (2 gun) is attached to the roof just inside the rear entrance. It's the same brand as the one in the roof of the HJ75.

Long gun?

Of course ... a handgun is properly located in a holster strapped to one's body ;)

How did you attach it to the roof? ... we can take offline so as to not clog up the OPs thread any further
