I remember reading your first build. This has topped it. It's so dang nice.

..I asked my neighbors son (who is a very large and strong guy) come over and pull the front clip into place while I bolted everything down..

Is this how one would correct the 40 series hood 'overbite'? Need to do this on my '70 45.
 
yes and no - it helped but I have a 1/4 inch overhang after driving it a bit. it is barely noticeable but my 78 is perfect. I assembled it prior to paint and bent the hinges. I didn't think I needed to with this one because they were all original panels.
 
in case anyone was curious... this truck cost me about $33,000 to build. Had to add it all up for tax season :doh:

I didn't include a lot of expendable things like spray paint, welding wire & gas. But I did include all the purchases I made in the mud classifieds over the last 4 years and I still have a bunch of parts left over so those two things probably even out.

I have pretty much every item on the list... if you really want to know the breakdown of a close to full restoration shoot me a PM with your e-mail and I'll send you the xcel file. There are over 400 items that I have listed in the spreadsheet.
