Another Wiper thread

Hey guys, I have recently purchased a new set of wiper blades part number 85190-60010. These were purchased from a mud member.

The end of these wipers are a hooked end.

I thought the wiper blades part number: 85220-55010 would work with these arms.

​

It looks as though the parts are not compatible. Through my research, I can not find out what wiper I would need for these arms. Does anyone know what the blades look like and what part number they are? I have a 1965 FJ40 with the vent window. The wiper blades do not have to be OEM. just something that would work with my new arms.

Also if you have a picture of your arm ends/wiper blade connections, that would help greatly. Is there a connection piece that I might be missing?

I have been doing some research. It looks like the wiper end is called a wrist action.

Now to search to find a 11" or 10" wiper arm. Does anyone know what length was used for the vent window on a 65 FJ40?

10" blade- 22-101
11" blade- 33-111

I am purchasing both the Anco and the Trico. Once they arrive, I will do a comparison.

I reached out overseas to where I purchased the wiper arms. They were going to let me know if they have the wiper blades. Did not see them the first time around when looking through parts. I will update if they come across them.

Hello everyone,

I sold mine to fellow members and some locally. A local guy was able to find blade pair for his wiper arm which he sent me today.

I suppose in a pinch you could cut a slot in those arms that would allow the OEM-type blades to be inserted like the OEM arms. Not sure if the bump would help or hinder the wiper action. But given their (OEM) marginal performance anyhow probably ok.

Looks oddly like old VW bug wipers or old Jeep. The rubber is wasted on mine so everything will be kept as is and I'll remove the dead rubber cut and fit the new rubber blades into the arm.

I got these blades from RockAuto. They snap right onto the arm and are inexpensive unlike the wrong blades I ordered from SOR.

So where have people landed on for a source for wiper arms for our early 20/40 series motors? Do most people use a generic wiper arm like what @Krondor posted? I am in need of a set for my 1965 FJ40 that I am trying to get road worthy.
