Too late from the weather reports that have been on TV the last week or so. :D

No kidding, the pressure is really on and I just wrapped up a few loose ends and the truck will now reside out doors until it's picked up in a couple of weeks.

Are we going to get a write-up? I think several of us have been patiently waiting for something from you on this project.

I think Rich (FilmPros) is going to do something when he takes the truck back. I told him it can be his post and I'll jump in on the technical questions.

damn nice. wana make me one for xmas?

The owner of the truck would like a more professional bracket than the one I boogered together. So I've drawn one up in AutoCad and will eval it in Card Board and then have some laser cut and plated. I'll let every one know when it gets to that point.

Is this list complete? From memory...

1. Super Charger
2. F&R bumpers with Hydraulic MM winch
3. Slee (or FOR) lift
4. Dual batteries with isolator
5. New axles front and rear with some type of replacement axles.
6. Regear ?
7. PM HG ?
8. Rear storage box
9. Rack

Probably a lot more that he was planning... All that had to cost Richy Rich $2k or more. :D

I'd like to see a pic of that. I just searched and came up empty. Can you post a link?

Maybe these new kits are a little different because there really isn't much room back in that corner.
I'll try to dig some up. Wasn't a heck of a lot different than George's.

That's OK Junk. I wasn't aware of George's setup. If I was I probably would have gone that route but in the end I really like the capacity of this one. Having to drive in winter up here you can go through a lot of washer fluid in a short time.

well the brackets are complete and black oxided. I installed one on the truck that I'm building and it fit great. Attached are some pictures of the final product. I had 10 made and there are 7 left. I listed them here in the merchandise area "Brackets"
canister bracket 001 (Medium).webp
canister bracket 002 (Medium).webp
canister bracket 003 (Medium).webp

This then allowed me to use the 91 fuse/relay block bracket to move the fuse block out away from the fender whioch inturn allowed me to install the 91 washer bottle.

EDITED to remove mis-information.

Quick question though Rick, was the charcoal canister on the truck you were working on completely full of fuel? Mine is and just wanted to make sure its normal.

the canister should only have fumes in it and even then they should be drawn off when you start the truck.

You might want to check your evap system and well as the vent on the bottom of the canister. That vent line connects to a metal tube that runs into the frame rail. Make sure everything is open and not clogged.

Pumping fuel into the canister has always been a warning about "topping off" at the pump.

We'll I've never "topped off" a single time since day one. Always when the handle goes click. Unless THAT is topping off as well, which would suck

On another note, Rick help me out...

I was just over at Spectre Off Road and they had a 6/90 and 10/91 FJ80 obviously both with 3FEs and both have the charcoal canister on the passenger side just like the 2F motors.

Where did you find the support bracket to hold up your new bracket? I couldn't find anything in there that looks like it would work. You mentioned a 91 but no luck.
