On the Whale, I ran the passenger side exhaust down between the frame and t case, wrapped the pipe and hard mounted it to the trans...joined them into a single back there and then to the OEM exhaust system.

your cats up right off the manifolds?

Yep, they are. I'm not sure how I'm going to route it. The passenger side is very tight!

Here where I'm at:

I scraped the gear indicator letters off the shifter and made my own indicator based on the new shifter linkage.

Put the interior back together.

After a couple of emails and calls, Jon at PSI and I figured out why the PCM was throwing the codes and throttle was not working. The wiring from the TAC (Throttle Actuator Controller) and the TB (Throttle Body) is different in a car than a truck. So Jon gave me the pin out of the truck and I took apart the connector and rearranged the wires.

So this brings me to NOW I CAN DRIVE IT!!! After rechecking all the fluids, I drove around the neighborhood until the engine got up to 200 degrees then pulled it into the driveway. I left it running and popped the hood to see if the fan was working. Thankfully it was.

Time to do the exhaust.

You were missed at the Roundup....

So after digging through my FSM EWD and finding out that the 96 FSM wire colors are different that my 95, I have decided to create my own gauge cluster. I've decided to go with Autometer ES gauges. I going to have to do some research on the wires for the brake, door ajar, check engine, and blinkers to wire my own lights in. Why? The dash panel is only 1 3/4" wide and the speed/tach is 2 1/8. So I'm going to have to cut some holes in the back and therefore the "thingy" (I don't know what it is called) that is plastic and has all the connections in it, will not work. Here is a pic of the cluster i'm working with that has the gauge templates.

Missed you at round up .. My Mom asked about you too lol ...'gauges will look cool

I was planning on doing the same thing when i get around to my swap. Once you finalize your template, if you send it to me i'll cnc plasma you one out of aluminum if you like.

Cool! Thank you! I'm going to do a mock up with some metal I have but would like to talk to about the a final piece.

I missed the Round Up, so I didn't miss you at the Round Up, but I'd have missed you at the Round Up if I hadn't missed the Round Up. If neither you nor I miss next year's Round Up, then I will not miss you at that Round Up nor will you miss me at that Round Up...not that you'd miss me at the Round Up if I missed the Round Up as most folks don't miss me at the Round Up when I miss the Round Up as evidenced by the fact that no one has emailed or posted that they did, in-fact, miss me at the Round Up.

Good job on the 80. :D

I did miss the miss because of the missed Round Up and I'm sure the folks there missed you. After further analyzing the miss, I agree the miss can be avoided by fulfilling the event's attendance requirement, which I fully intend to not miss, next year's Round Up.

Thank you.

We missed your wife and kids at the Roundup....:doh:

Well I was talking with the :princess: tonight and showing here some gauges on the autometer site. She said she would rather have digital gauges. A new gauge layout is in progress. :)

Got some stuff done today.

Got the hubs on today. Bought them off of Georg (OrangeFJ45). He also included new gaskets and all the nuts, lock washers, and cone washers. After cutting the new retainer clip grove, everything went on with no problems. As you can see I cut out cap for the hub.

Redid the fuel intake side of the pump by taking off the prefilter and connecting a fuel sock to the inlet tube in the tank.

Secured the wiring harness and other wires.

I'm waiting for the gauges to come in. Should be here next week. Earlier in the week I talked to guy that going to do my exhaust. He has a shop at his house and build and races hot rods and dragsters. I'm going to get the 80 to him next week.

Awesome! So is this hub mod the one explained in another thread?

Yes, it is. What I also did what to mic the birf with the hub on to make sure where I needed to put it.
