That's nuts. $2300 for the tank + $355 to ship it, and they want $250 for a core charge. Bet they don't sell many.

Jeebus, that's redonk of a price. Surely someone has a more reasonably priced fuel tank? I remember when they first came out, the prices were much more competitive. Not sure if this vendor is the only that makes it. So that brings me to the next question, if anyone has come up with a way to mount a tank from another vehicle. Trooper and cherokee tanks are popular retrofits for the 80 series crowd so something similar might exist for the FJC crowd.

That was the first item that came up in the search. Going to poke around to see what else is out there. You got me rethinking the whole gas can thing. Intimately familiar with the old XJ tanks as I owned a '94 for a good number of years. Miss that inline 6 but not much else.
Check with these folks on a gas tank. They bought out Northwest Metal Products a few years ago. Many of the tanks NWMP made are not listed, but they say "we also have many tanks that can be built to order."
