Pre-Primer work begins

Got started on filling in a few areas on the drivers side and touching up areas where I welded patch panels in..

Drivers side is in more need than the passenger side..

Have two spots on roof to address and the rear hatch and tailgate as well.

Those will be done this week I hope. I'd like to get Blue Marley in primer by end of next week if possible.

Enjoy J

You're a pimp! Any more of those windows floating around!?

Your work has inspired me to take some classes. Almost forty year old.

D, Same here on age.. I've played with a lot of toys over the years and had many friends teach me things..

Take your time and don't get frustrated is the advice I always give.

Good Luck J.

Snow, I will paint the cruiser with the factory 8B4 (night blue metallic) paint code after the epoxy. Then going to use Monstaliner or Grizzly Grip on lower panels.

One of my favorite cruisers ever was a flat/satin black paint job with complete blacked out trim and de-chromed. Got dirty quick, but sure was a head turner.

If your wanting a flat black or similar paint coloring, go with the John Deere Blitz Black or Hot Rod Flatz. They are both very durable and cheap from what I've read, less than 150.00 for all materials.

Ah yes:doh: hence the threads name lol. I have been looking at the hot rod flatz, the wife really wants black and I frecking love the satin look but didn't really think much about dirt, I forgot about black and dirt, and specially in a flatter paint. Just like everything it will take me forever to decide haha. Maybe a olive drab in satin finish.

Everything is looking great man, loving it!

Front and rear suspension is done! And I love it, the shocks are valved perfect the thing drives awesome and straight down the road I couldn't be happier. All the hard work is paying off, I did 1/4" rubber flooring by the foot. They had 3/8s but the 1/4 seems plenty thick. Its all muddy from our turkey hunt last week and it makes me smile haha. Pictures of it in the last few pages of the link in my sig line. The seats wernt in but it looks real clean front and back.
