Quick sanded the tailgate and hatch.. Need another run of filler on the tailgate.. But, I'll get it smooth as a babies butt before I'm done ;)..

Found a little rust on the upper and lower windshield areas. Ground rust out, welded up, smoothed with flapper wheel, body filler and sanded. All gone now:clap:!!!!!

Only cut a few pieces of expanded metal for the gas can rack and roof rack.

Still need to weld it in and do some final trim.

Trying to do some little things during the week and bigger items on the weekend..

OH and scored 3-65 watt solar panels and 3-110 Ah batteries for another project... Yes, another trailer build coming soon... :grinpimp: Stay tuned in for that one... a couple weeks out!! ;)

Lights, Etc..

Well my MIA Ebay lights showed up along with a couple other items today..

Got 8 of these cheap 5.5" lights w/100 watt bulbs and push button switches (I spent way too much on pricey lights for my last project and I'm pretty rough on lights for some reason), Superflow MV-50 onboard air compressor, and 500' roll of dual 14 gauge wire.

Also, got my 3-110Ah deep cycle batteries and a 15 and a 20 amp solar charge controller for the camping toys to come. Just need some good cable, connectors, and a battery minder to complete my electric upgrade purchases.

Hope to get the body work finalized this week and get back to welding out of all those other projects next week... :D

The :princess: started playing with the vinyl for the door and cargo panels today... But, it's a "surprise".. I can't see anything yet...

Enjoy J

How much did you pay for the SuperFlow? You will have to let us know how that turns out for you and if it ends up reliable.

G, I got it from Amazon and free shipping. Here's the link..

Amazon.com: Q Industries MV50 SuperFlow High-Volume Air Compressor: Automotive

I've got a couple buddies that use them and recommended them. They said for an air up or two a week on four tires it would last quite awhile. They are into their 3rd year wheeling with theirs. **** for 80 bucks, that's a pretty cheap compressor. They both run air lockers as well off theirs.

Only issue they've had with theirs was the coil air hose to the compressor connection..... But, they said the first thing to do is to tap and thread a new nipple and quick release coupler and throw away the air hose that comes with it. I'll get one of them over and get the skinny on that when I go to install it.

I plan on figuring out an area under the hood to run a good air hose and spool it up. Or maybe just put the hose in the tailgate or in one of the rear side panel compartments that I plan on modifying in the future.

Today I got the tailgate and hatch done. Went around the entire thing and found a couple more small spots and applied filler and sanded out.

I'm hoping for a three day weekend next week or possibly the following week. If so, I'm gonna lay down the primer and paint and be done with it.

Gonna block sand again with 320 grit before primer. Need to scuff up the inside of doors, behind panels, jambs, and misc other areas.. A good wash and degrease and Blue Marley will be ready for a new look.
