I built a car a few years ago and a few of my friends have tried to get me to build a toy version for awhile..

For what ever reason I felt like it might not be a terrible idea when a few of them asked me about it recently... So here we are making toy cars..

I ordered a bunch of 1/24 stuff to try to get a feel for a good starting point, these are quite a bit smaller than I expected but that is the size we agreed on. I have several options here and still heading here but it looks like pretty good quality for little parts..

I found a full size pig and I'll print it with the approximate correct wheelbase then I will start chopping this body up to duplicate the buggy..
I think the plan is once we have something that looks correct we have a friend that can scan or something like that then make a file for the buggy bodies..

Little cars have little screws, little screws suck when you have old eyes and fingers..

Chassis 1 is mostly together.

Sorry @RUSH55 I don't have a mini forklift so you'll have to settle for the Yeti tumbler flex test..
Chassis 2 is started but I need to go do some real work..

Making a little progress..

Got chassis 2 mostly put together, still waiting for a bunch of parts I didn't know I needed.

Printed a couple of quick test bodies.

Cut up a hood real quick to check scaling.
Needs to be smaller still.

I'll work on the file and print some more samples..

So I've been super busy doing work but still managed to sneak in a few minutes here and there on the toy cars..
I'll give a proper update when I get more time..

And my stupid friends got me side tracked with the modified crawling cars so I had to build two of those in my extra spare time...

I'll make some new titanium links and carbon fiber chassis next week.

So I decided to buy a machine, learn the software and set the new machine up to cut the carbon fiber chassis in my extra spare time..
Maybe next week before I get them done..
