Hey Wayne, how's the cruiser doing?

It's lonely.

We were at a drag race in rainy Houston all last weekend, and now with the ice it's killing me not having it. Tic toc. Still just have the exhaust and drive shaft remaining.

I did fork out for some really cool stainless steel heater hose piping. It's brushed and I'll redo that since the project has taken a detour.

Thanks for checking in.
Wayne

Looking forward to seeing how this all comes together in the end. What transmission did you run? Will there be any issues making things like cruise control and A/C work on this swap if some one was to do one.

Hi Wayne, how did you wire the brake switch to the PCM.? Thank you, Jeff

There is a brake signal wire from the factory brake switch heading to the factory TCM which is by the drivers side left footwell.

Is it sending 12v when the brakes are not pressed? Tks.

Dunno that. I havent dug into that yet. I might be there this weekend. I have the rear heater and PHH just about done and hope to head that way soon. If I have time I will read up and let you know.

Hey Wayne,

Just checking back in to see if you tried the 'resistor pull-up' on the tach signal trick yet... Was curious if you got it working without external electronics?

Thanks,
TT

I've found a cheaper oil pan solution for those doing a LS swap. GM offers a muscle car oil pan kit complete with pickup for about $150. It has way more clearance than the F-car pan and is a lot cheaper. Hope this helps someone.:)

Cool! What is the part number?

I saw that one. I was trying to stay at stock ride height, and (been a while) but I was looking at dimensions, this may be the pan that I wanted but would still not clear my steering rod.

Alas. I'm saving up for some good suspension.

Ahhh. Spring is near!

THE WIFE JUST GOT A JOB!!!!@ Which means it's on again!
This was a lot of the delay.

I'll be working on a two day stint again on the 11th and 12th of March if anyone wants to come visit/help on my project. The shop will be open but I'm taking off to make some progress. It's Friday and Saturday.

I'll be here; Home Next door to Lone Star Land Cruisers.

I'll buy lunch :)

I'm going to try and swing by on the 11th. I'm shooting a gig on the 12th.

Talk to you soon,
Mike
