LKQ engines
I buy parts from LKQ from time to time, and I heard that these cars and trucks of all kinds come in completely running with no damage to be dissasembled. It sounds like the auto manufacturers are dumping them straight to the dismantlers as a tax loss write off. A way of culling the flock/inventory. Anyhow, the end user of the parts can benefit from this because how else can you get parts with las low as 10 miles on them? Crazy.
Thanks for stopping by my build thread! Your engine swap thread is good! Very informative!JUST GOT AN EMAIL WITH A TRACKING NUMBER FOR MY A.A. ADAPTER....
Looks like everything is coming along just fine. I was back to looking for another motor and found a few more iron blocks.
I think I'm gonna opt for the iron block because I can snap my fingers and have one here.
I'm having no luck finding an aluminum block, or should I say, an aluminum block IN MY PRICE RANGE. Geez.
I found a bunch of 6.2 (?) and 5 speed autos? wonder if they'd bolt up? A salvage yard with less than 100 miles on them. Trucks fell off loading dock or transport truck or something. 2010's.
