Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

AWESOME! i turned up the volume to listen to the idle in the video and when you revved it my cat got scared. great job.

Hey Wayne, did you a body lift? If so where did you get it?

No body lift here.

Getting this thing going and registered and all that has set me back. I had a temporary front drive shaft made until I can figure out what is going to happen in that department.

Worst case; I might be on the look out for a transmission with the solenoids on the other side of the pan.

I just don't see how Kirk's drive shaft isn't hitting when he stuffs it.

I'll tell you what though, this thing gets some looks when it barks the tires!!! I was leaving the shop kind of fun like today and it will get it!

I got the baby seat in the back and certified it safe to take the kids to school!

I have a little transfer case whine. Ahh well. Guess I should take a pic of the 260,000 mile plus ODO!!! That would explain it.

I've put about 200 miles on it so far. I'd comment about the gas mileage but I can't stop stabbing the throttle. :grinpimp:

Making a few changes to the tune tonight. Trying to tune it for 87 octane. It's not like it doesn't make enough power.

Wayne, I've got a couple of the narrower-Atlas 4L60s here-- I'll PM you on the details, but if you want to swap gearboxes we can figure out how to get the right flexplate, bell-housing etc if you want to give it a try.

What's the diameter of the DS? I talked to a couple of places about making me a 1 1/2" diameter DS.

AHAHAHAH 1 1/2"

OH wait. yeah, its a 1 1/2. Can't fully test it cause I don't have a locker yet.

DOOOD. I'll yank the trans pan off and take a look myself at clearance soon.

Talking to the drive shaft guy, There's no sense in going from 1 1/2 to 1 3/4.

So, it needs to be 2" for a crawler.

The deal is, I think Kirk is ok because he's got such a huge lift.

Was like 260 bucks and he would need your front shaft to rob some parts from it.

I'm not proud, it's not "manly" looking. So, I've been NAILING the throttle from every stop and thrashing it to see if it twists. Uh, it hasn't yet. The ultimate test is going to be Lockers, Low, and crawling up with one front wheel and one back wheel.

Side track

After drinking some wine and what not.... beer, etc.

I've been listening to good ol Alan Jackson and it's killing me. Need to go camping soon. Like in two weeks.

Ok, so I have an 8 yr old wonderful daughter who says "Dad, I don't want to stay at some sissy campground with toilets."

Uh, I'm under pressure.

?There must be fishing. With a bow. And a fire. A BIG bon-fire. Beer. Koolaide for the kids. GrandPaws, stories, and such. Knifes. Um, stars. Tents, Shovels, TP, and Pretty much, just some water and Mud.

Where can I go find this place.

Possibly, next to a lake. But I'm the only one who wants that really, cause I want to bring the Jet ski.

I have connections at Lake Buchannon. I live pretty much on Lake Ray Hubbard.

But that's "too city" for her. sigh. Got family in Round Rock, (Mom), and aint' afraid to get dirty. Won't go too far right now, don't trust the t-case or tires, so Austin, Bastrop, OKC, is as far as I'll go. No beach yet. I'll get there eventually.

.

6 inches of lift is the answer to that. I really think you guys have a few contraints that are going to be very challenging to develop a solution. My initial thought is the place you are going to be in trouble is the back passenger corner of the tranny pan and the passenger side of the engine pan. I mentioned to Jeff before I think a driveshaft made with a small diameter extended travel slip yolk would clear that tranny pan. For the oil pan clearance perhaps more notching and a well placed set of bumpstops. to check my clearances I have a cat skid loader at home that can pick up the entire rig. I can twist it and put the weight of the rig on one tire to simulate the extreme twist. I have no bumpstops right now.

If you need any help shoot me a pm!

Well, almost done with the first tank of gas. I don't drive it every day.

I tried to keep my foot out of it, but after I got down to 1/2 tank I got itchy and couldn't resist nailing the throttle!! It's soooo tqy! It's insane how you can bark the tires... totally makes people scratch their heads!

I have about 250-265 miles or so on this tank. I'll fill up a couple of times to make sure it's about the average. I ran 87 octane and took some timing out too, no knockie knockie, and still has boat loads of power.

So far two window regulators came apart so had to fix those. The rear wiper came apart, and I need to take apart the rear door and fix that. Still need to find the compressor outlet fittings for the GM A/C compressor and then I'll have the A/C Parts Wharehouse in Rockwall make the lines.

Wife ordered new plates. Krushr She thinks she's cool. I'll admit, it gets WAAAy more stares when she is driving! Already got a few guys ready to go up and down some gulleys for off road testing.

On the dyno

Well, I couldn't take it. I put a Walbro fuel pump in. Took about 30 minutes. I thought I'd have to drop the tank,... duh.

So, in go our ID725 injectors. I don't need them, but I'm tuning it for e85 AND regular.

I took pics so I'll update tonight.

Hey Wayne,

Do you want your old injectors? If not, pls shoot me a PM. I'd like to buy a couple of them from ya.

Thanks.

dyno chart

Finally.

Hate to see a stock six cyl on my dyno. This is a stock 5.3 with a custom intake and exhaust. The numbers at the bottom are what you would see on a dynojet. No vids sorry. Was pushing buttons. :D

The tq number is right. Ill plot that tomorrow. 2nd gear.

That's some good power. I would be curious to see the same in 2wd to get a measure of parasitic loss of 4wd.
