New denso nozzles for the injectors
Where do you have the plating done? Looks great!
It's a place called Aerostar about 5 minutes from my house. I wish I could find another place because I used to be very cheap and now they have a minimum charge of $127 and anything other than bolts is another $127 minimum.
Galen got the bearings last night. So I can take the shortblock to machine shop Monday. Engine coated kit came in as well.
How about a little update. Injectors back from the injection shop on Friday. Took the block, crank, cam, cam bearings, and pistons to the machine shop yesterday. 1mm oversize pistons with alfin steel inserts. Polishing the crank and cam journals and checking balance of the pistons. Installing cam bearings.
While that's being done I'm going to try to get ahead of the game a bit and finish everything else I have my hands on.
Flushed the oil cooler and reinstalled in the housing with all new seals gaskets and refinished hardware.

Also started clear powder coating all the lines. The zinc finish looks nice as is and the heat does make it darker but the clear powder will really keep them looking slick for a long time.

Injection lines prior to powder coating. They're pretty and loose some color from the heat but the finish is much more durable and super slick with the powder.

Cleaned up the harmonic balancer and got it painted with rust bullet along with the rebuilt injectors. At this point it's a waiting game until I get the block back from the machine shop or a couple of pieces for the cylinder head to get it to the machine shop. I doubt the head will be a hold up. Also still waiting on the center main bearing from toyota. It has no eta and has been close to a month since I ordered it. Not looking good.

Got the block back from the machine shop yesterday. Bored 1mm, polished the crank and camshaft journals, installed cam bearings, balanced the pistons.
I got the crank and cam soaked down in wd40, bagged, and stashed it in the house out of the humidity until I'm ready for it.

Pistons are all weighed and then weight is removed from 5 to match the lightest of the set. You can see the machine marks to remove a weight in last two photos.
Before the block goes on the stand the cam plug goes in with a bit of hondabond for sealant. This one is installed flush with the back of the block.
Easier to tape this up now.

Rear oil galley plug..again easier to install off the stand. This one is goes in until it hits a hard stop.
Double checked camshaft bearings are properly installed.
This parts a little tedious. All the threaded holes that are used in a 61 application are plugged up.
All taped up and ready for paint prep.
