I finally had some AR Power Steps installed on my 62. A friend fabricated some brackets and mounted the kit for an Unlimited Wrangler to the frame instead of the body. Quite a bit of work, but they are definitely nice and good quality.

I'm attaching a few photos and a link to a video of the steps operating:

I dont care for the AR slides...but they look alright I guess..
You cruiser on the other hand look awesome !!
What paint is that ? stock? it does not look shiny..

BTW what type of roof is that on the back ground?
Is it Copper or Bronze tin roof ?

AR Power Steps

It's a Front Runner rack. I definitely recommend them. Lots of great accessories available for it, too. I Plasti Dip'd the car camo tan to see if I liked the color. I sprayed it, then used their glossifier, which gives it a nice matte finish. I like it, so I'll probably paint it this color permanently.

The steps don't double as sliders. They're sturdy, but couldn't take that much abuse. I don't wheel much, mostly mining trails, etc. Permissions on the video should be fixed now.

Amp research power steps?? Now there's a misleading name if I ever saw one!
I was think some crazy power mod.

Is this an on going joke where people ask about what rack each other have on there rig?
I honestly think I see it in every post, then the random what is your roof in the background comes on board! If it's not a joke I'm turning it into one because it's funny as hell.

I'm not taking anything away from the steps they look awesome as does your rig and for that matter your roof rack and your car hole roof.

That is pretty cool. I watched the video, and since I have trouble getting the other half into my rig, not to mention my 84 yr old Dad, perfect!
I would find it more informative if you posted the mounting you did, and also all the elec work. So it ties into the door light switches? Did you mount it to the lower, inner rocker or make a bracket over to the frame? More info and pics please.

nice setup....but I would suggest that if you off-road a lot you look into HD fixed sliders...that can serve as steps. I like the look of the 60..mine is tan too, but not as in nice of shape. I use mine as steps (Sliders)...but if I were to do it again I would have the sliders flare out farther from the side of the truck than mine do at present.

Yes, the control box wires into the door switches. There are also small LEDs that light up the step below each door. I added more photos to my original post.

I'd destroy those wheeling, but that's a nice install job/adaptation.
