Just wondering if anybody knows the size of the bottom alternator mount bolt nut on an FJ62? Mine is missing and I also have a rattle noise that goes away when I push on the alternator tensioning bolt. Could that noise be caused by missing that nut? TIA

Can’t answer the bolt size as I’m not near my rig but yes, that could be your rattle.
that bolt holds the bottom of the alternator to a bracket on which the entire alternator pivots so you can adjust belt tension.
It doesn’t hold everything tightly together since it’s a pivot bolt but without the nut on there, the bolt is probably vibrating i the pivot holes.

Well I got a nut today for it and it definitely fixed the noise/vibration at idle and low acceleration. It is an M10x1.25 if anybody needs it. Toyota part number is 90179-10132 but they didn’t have one at my local dealer so I got one from Home Depot and it fit great.
