Just curious as to keeping an alignment on the ifs after offloading.

My Chevy truck was terrible. One curb or rut smack and I knew it was going to pull on the way home. My '97 4runner I can't recall but perhaps that's because my son was born and I wasn't out much. I'm getting the itch for a lift on the '04 but don't have much respect for the ifs.

What has been your experiences?

I'm going to get an alignment tomorrow because I changed up my suspension. I'll let you know how it turns out. The last year/ 20,000 miles it has stayed true though. My driveway is pretty rough too, 1/4 mile of rocks and a creek. Everyday.

I drove over a curb (legit 7" high curb) at 25mph on the driver side during a turn(don't ask). Truck drove fine home for 4,000 miles. I went to the dealer for an alignment. He came back and said - why did you think you needed an alignment - it was perfect.

My alignment is good too, but I have an FJ tie rod on one side...it isnt too hard with a gx

Alignments are generally pretty cheap. At least much cheaper than a set of tires. If you are gonna beat on it hard, and you feel like you want to have it checked after, just take it by someone reputable and have them check it. I don't know about you but I feel like $80 is worth the piece of mind.

^^^ Some places even have something where you pay a $100ish and you get free alignments for a year. Which that would be great for someone that's really hard on there rig.

Sent from deep in the mountains of Honduras using only sticks and rocks.

Thanks for the replies, Guys!

Back when I had my Chevy I knew and dred the alignment going out as I drove an @ss load of miles. Fighting a constant pull sucked. Now twenty years later I'm thinking seriously of using my '04 4runner as it is way more comfy to drive.
Now for a lift.....

Finally got mine done this morning, after a full day delay on my timing belt. Everything was minor adjustments after I put on my OME lift and new UCA's. Wasn't pulling when I took in and I think the only reason it was out is because the parts that were swapped. Holding pretty well.
