Little update: there are in Borden, in between Saskatoon and Edmonton. They are going to try and and make Dawson Creek tonight. Google maps says 9 hours 52 minutes (651 miles). That will never happen. It will probably take 13-13 1/2 hours. Should put them there around 11:00 our time.

The roads come and go. Worst stretch has been 50 miles either side of Winnipeg...

I feel like he will make Dawson Creek. All indications say roads definitely deteriorate after that. He has been getting info at any stops he has been making.

Yesterday evening he was able to run 70 mph a good ways, not sure how far....(he is not a very "gabby" person)

I watched "Into the Wild" today to try so see a bit of the Alaskan country you will be enjoying next week. Good movie and great soundtrack. Try not to live in any abandoned buses you find up there or eat any weird plants. It doesn't end well.

not even enough time for a drink at the Sky Club...

The California contingent left Sacramento last night around 6:45 Pacific time. Bill is driving our (West Coast Wheeler) 80 and Ryan is towing his pick up with his FJ. At last check in they were at the Oregon border 4 hours ago. Both rigs have 2 drivers so it should move right along.

I believe JRob said they were at the border for about 45 minutes. They asked a few questions and did not tear into the vehicles this time. In past trips when Roget T. Pulled their four car trailer he has had both good and bad experiences. He always has his dog and weapons with him, both of which require paperwork. Also, don't try to bring moose antler sheds or dirty trucks back into Canada from Alaska...

The California contingent needed trailer tires and a new phone cause the Domininja killed his. They are about to get going again. In Portland. At Sears.
