The only way save your rig over the frost heaves is to slow down just take some extra time. You can miss the frost heaves by going over the top of the world highway its longer and a lot of dirt and gravel. You guys have run over the worst part of the highway.

Does anyone know the 2m frequency the Alaska Cruiser Crew uses? I thought I read it in this thread but I've been looking back over the thread and I can't find it. Just wanted to tune my 2m radio to the right frequency.

Dad and Daniel are out fishing. Hope my son catches something. He loves to fish. Actually, he loves to catch, I should say. I'm sure we'll find something. Hatcher Pass is still closed and it doesn't look like we'll make it to Palmer Creek in Hope. I guess we'll go there after the Trek.

Nevermind. I found my own answer to the frequency question. It was posted on the Facebook page not on 'MUD.

That is good to hear. I have to drive back home that way and if the Alaska highway is like it is between Haines Junction and Beaver Creek the whole way, I was thinking that would suck a bit. I have more time on the drive back. Maybe I'll take the Top of the World highway. Is it more scenic? The drive from Haines to Haines Junction was very scenic (we took the ferry to Haines). But the drive from Haines Junction to Beaver Creek, not very scenic. I do fieldwork in the Boreal forest and I already know what Treed Bogs and black spruce look like.

Yes I do. I have a Bug Jacket and Jungle Juice (100% DEET). I'll probably get cancer but at least I won't itch. Mind has already gone a bit from the continuous buzzing.

I'll start it off:

Who's the guy with the orange hat & coveralls???

LOL

Only a few are actually home. For me the trek ended monday night/ 12:30 tuesday morning as Mark W, RatPuke, RockDoc and myself were trying to get some dinner before everything closed.

I am traveling the 3145 miles home now and made it as far as Fort Saint John, BC. After a nice dinner with the Peace Canyon Swamp Donkeys, one of them pointed out I was missing a chunk O tire on the trailer. I homesteaded at RatPukes place and pulled the tire and packed the wheel bearing and noticed the brake pads were broke. I checked and packed all of the wheel bearing. Instead of driving tonight, I wil be staying the night since I have to pick up a few things when the tire and brake shops open up in the morning.

I should be home sunday evening and the download of my traveling pics will begin.

Leave us alone. We're busy wrenching and wheeling. :p
