Nice work on the HJ75! My LJ78 is at the point where it needs similar attention....now just to find some time!

How goes the work on the 2H turbo? Have you pulled the cylinder head off to inspect things?

Is that an LJ78 I spy in the picture above ^ ? Weren't you originally going to swap a 1HDT with 80 series axles into it or something? On the back burner for now?

The 78, yes 1HD, but 70 series cable lockers, 5 link in the back, modified 78 suspension in the front, and yeah it has been on the back burner. Hopefully I will get the 75 finally finished with having to work on it. Haven’t pulled the head yet, sourcing the parts first and need to be able to move the truck around before pulling the head.

That's pretty crazy; what would cause that? I wonder if that truck was used for heavy loads or towing at some point?

Makes me wonder how my LJ78 frame is looking after years of towing my camper trailer now....

No idea, left side bed mounts were loose and I think if I remember one was missing.

Did you know you should drill the ends of the crack and then run out the weld? Also a fuller or wedge cut into it?

This prevents any further cracking.

Not judging your work at all, I am sure it is fine welded up they way you did it. Just tossing the info out there.

Cheers
