I just installed a set, look just like yours but suspension. More comfortable anyways.
I think you are talking about seats that have a built in suspension. Mine is the Toyota LJ seats with the suspension base. The base will not fit in the ute/troopy due to the different floor.

check the floor underneath the cab i didnt think they would fit in mine either but i wanted to go with it anyway when i went to drill the holes there were welded nuts in place just where they should be. i know the ute is different but its worth a look. i had to cut the original brackets out but it was all there.

I did find the captive nut for the single seat vs bench. The base/floor mounts are different for the ute/troopy vs the rest of the 70’s. If I was able to mount the seats with the suspension base my head would be sticking out of the roof. Suspension seat base may fit in a troopy due to the higher roof. The floor under the seats is higher than the other 70’s due to the fuel tank being under the front seats.

My attempt at a center console.

So, yesterday spent 12hrs redoing the knuckles. They were getting a bit messy and still was having a little vibration going on. So bought a Terrain Tamer complete knuckle rebuild kit, Marlin Crawler inner axle seals, and brake rotors, since I was getting some pulsing in the brakes. I went to a friends place to do this. He’s a old school Toyota guy. One reason it took a little longer was because my friend wanted to try installing 4Runner V6 brakes. They fit but because they are longer you have to trim the backing plate where the calipers hit. So far impressions are positive, now the brakes have travel/feel like normal cars, a progressive travel.

So, this last Sunday I got a chance to put the truck on a dyno.
First run I had the max fuel (or what ever it’s called) screw set where I liked it for daily driving, minimal smoke. The second one shows the max fuel screw removed. First video is normal use, second max fuel screw removed. Any thoughts? Does the amount of clatter from the engine seem normal? Enjoy.
Well, since I can’t post any of this, the first run was 86.98hp and 199.29 max torque. Second run is 96.16hp and 188.64 max torque.

Sheesh, all that horsepower. How do you keep it under control?!
