Hi,

Can anyone elaborate on the differences between Aisin water pump 61070 and 67071? I purchased the 67071 years ago for my 77 with no fan clutch and no oil cooler. I believe I have the original (with oil cooler connection capped off) and the 67071 side by side and cannot notice a difference. Engine is at the shop currently being rebuilt. From what I've been reading, the screws/back plate should be removed from Aisin and gasket sealer applied to bolt sides and reassembled.

Thanks Dave

CruiserOutfitters (cruiserteq) is the only place I see those part numbers used, maybe ask @cruiseroutfit?

Based on picture/description on their site, the EGW61070 looks like the short neck w/out oil cooler version (Aisin WPT-063). This is what I have on my CA spec '75 that has a fan clutch and no oil cooler. I can't find any info about a EGW61071, maybe that's the direct drive fan version?

I'm confused. We have a part# EGW61070 but not a EGW61071 or EGW67071

EGW61070 is our AISIN covering the 16100- 61070/61071/61120/61130 pump variants.

Sorry Kurt, I think I introduced some of the confusion when I mis-read the 67071 part number in the OP's post as a reference to a different part number ending in 71.

My bad, I mis-typed the part number. It's 61071 that's printed on the box . I purchased this back in 2008. It looks to be an exact replacement for the one that came with the engine when I purchased it, except the current on the engine has a rubber cap to block off connection to the oil cooler connection with a hose clamp. I will try and post a picture of the Aisin box tomorrow when I get back to work.

The EGW61070 has just two hose ports, the main large diameter lower radiator hose connection and the smaller connection for the bypass hose.

Copy, looks like you purchased from SOR so it may be fair to direct questions to them. That said, I'm still not sure what information you are seeking.
Kurt,

Can you confirm which Aisin water pump I would need to purchase from you for my March 1977 build no oil cooler and no fan clutch. would it be the 61070??

no fan clutch.
The only difference, as I see it, between the fan clutched and direct driven fan is the flange on the front of the shaft. You just need to pull the wrong flange off your new waterpump and slide on your old flange that fits your fan. I've had to do this several times.

Length of pump and the pulley vary too.

I missed the 'no fan clutch' variant @FJROSS is after. That is likely this unit:

Height from the block to the fan mounting hub is 6-3/16", 37x37mm hub pattern, 8x1.25mm studs. 28.5/68mm pilot/hub diameter.

Built for this fan blade:
