It might just be wishful thinking but these seem to have the potential to be good trail spares...
Has anyone here purchased/used these?

At $200 - Is there any reason to go this direction rather than waiting for a sale on the OEM ones?

Looks like Aisin is making more non OEM aftermarket parts for LC. Hopefully is great quality parts.

For that price, I'd want to see what's under the boots first (and I don't believe the ad copy images). If they're Cardone copies, they're garbage.

Cardone copied Toyota's minivan/light truck design and sell it for "direct replacement" in the 100 series. They are not direct replacements for anything that I'd use.

I have a set I'll give you if you want them; I pulled them off a 2000 LX470 when I planned to reboot them. They're taking up space on my parts shelf.

Thanks for the offer. I'm not really in need ATM, I just recognized (obviously) the Aisin name and was hoping they were legit for down the road or as a good option to carry as a spare on longer/harder trail runs. I've got OEM rebuilt by CVJ of Denver on it right now.

If you're going to use your Land Cruiser like a Camry, they'll be fine.

These are Cardone clones:

..and the price shows it. Note the "Xtreme Duty" rating...

Lot of bold statements from people that didn't even know they existed. It's great to see another option out there on the market from a manufacturer that's had proven aftermarket quality. I use my Land Cruiser like a Camry every day, guess I'm good to go.

Well, interesting you post that, because doing some brief Googling, found a discussion on a 4Runner forum about Aisin CV's, someone posting ones they found on Amazon. They emailed Aisin directly to ask, got this response:

Nice sleuthing! That's very interesting. Sounds like they're trading on their name. How old were the posts?

Buyers get that wrong a lot. This link does not mean directly sold from such and such manufacturer. This product is sold by A-Premium. I doubt it is a knock off because it it quite new but anything is possible. I believe this product is manufactured in China. I'd certainly go OE but hopefully this is the better of the aftermarket offerings.

I assumed that they wouldn't allow anyone other than the genuine establishment to call themselves that. Kinda like the Samsung Store. Now you've got me wondering if it's safe to buy a Samsung 990 EVO 2TB NVMe SSD for my new mac's dock.

Edit: Sold By: ARF Tech....but they have 100% Positive for the last 12 months...BUT it's only 84 ratings.
