Great job guys! I'm interested in the group buy.

I like it. I built something similar I've been running for awhile. My only suggestion is to build it so the spare tire can fit underneath.

Thanks! The prototypes you saw in my car and maybe Kyle's at HIH last year were first rev. It's come a long ways in the last year. It was stout enough back then, but now it's really something.

Interesting idea, Jim. You could certainly eliminate the middle supports by running a brace on the underside. Even better, add in a drawer for the spare and make it easier to slide in and out...

You may be onto something. I'm picturing that being useful for folks who have an aftermarket rear bumper, but not using a tire swing out. Is that the use you'd have in mind?

Hi Everyone,
Updated pic showing the addition of an aluminum trim piece to the edge of the platform. The trim and all the 'top side' hardware will be recessed, which will leave a flush surface with the sleeper deployed.

As others have mentioned, It would be great to have D rings or other connectors so a cargo net could be added. Like this:

Alright guys, this week should be the week. CNC vendor(s) locked down, business systems in place. Let's do this. Group Buy incoming. We were hoping to get it posted tonight, but it'll have to wait until Monday or Tuesday. We plan on rolling out a discounted group buy for 10 spots followed by ongoing, open sales. Expect flexible lead times for the discounted group buy as we roll out the first batch and ensure everything is up to our quality standards.

Totally agreed. We're looking at a few tie-down options.

In for the group buy w/ the sleeper option. Keep us posted.

Amost in for the sleeper option: Did a quick scan, and I know i did see it in past, but what is the cost again:bang:

Sorry about that. We've been a little shy about pricing thus far to ensure we don't mislead anyone with bad estimates as we ramp up to production.

We'll post up exact group buy pricing at the same time as when the deposit spots open up (tonight, hopefully). For the group buy, expect the neighborhood of $550 for the base kit with another $100-200+ for the sleeper (pending exact configuration). The group buy spots will get a significant discount as a thanks for helping us get the product launched. Long term pricing will increase about $100.

Deposits for the first 10 slots will be $50.

If you're interested I'd recommend subscribing to this thread and watching for action tonight and tomorrow.

I'll update the first post as well. Apparently I can't edit my original post... Weird.

Ask any questions in this thread.

PRICING (Group Buy only):
Base Platform: $550 + Shipping
Base Platform AND Sleeper: $700 + Shipping

Base platform includes the two main cargo panels plus wings on each side.
Sleeper option includes two additional hinged panels which lay on the 2nd row seats and create a ~53"x71" sleeping area (or flat cargo space). This is what you see in Kyle's demonstration video.

Tie down provisions WILL be included and will be demonstrated prior to full payment request. Deposit is refundable, but please only buy-in if you're serious so that you're not taking up one of the discounted slots. Stuff happens and we completely understand and will accommodate changes in your plans as best we can.

Future, 100% retrofit-able options include drawers, under platform lighting and a premium sleeper option with built in mattress. This is just the start... :)

For those wondering, shipping costs on the base system will be right around $50 in the US and the sleeper should be just a little more due to the added weight. This is less than half the shipping costs of other storage systems due to our HUGE reduction in weight.

Our system is roughly 1/3rd the weight of other systems out there.

Buy link is in post 58.

I would buy this as soon as variable height control is an option; I've been considering building something similar that would allow my ARB 50qt on a slide underneath with the sleeping platform above. So far this is the closest pre-made design I've come across. Will keep an eye on the thread.

I understand as far as the current sleeping platform design goes it needs to be this height to lay on the back seats for support. I would probably need to retrofit some foldable legs for the platform section and run this with removed rear seats.
