Bought my first LC a few months ago and feel like I missed out because the first post in this thread is exactly what I am looking for. Just a simple lightweight platform to sleep on and store things under that is also easy to remove. Seems like you guys do not offer anything like that anymore - what are the odds you sell those original design files and measurements? Would it even be feasible to DIY something like that?

We can offer a platform only, but it's not all that common. It's still well beyond "inexpensive" and you miss out on the benefits of our drawers like the increased work surfaces and ease of access to gear.

We don't sell design files, just as a general principle of the biz.

DIY: not exactly like what we do. Our design is predicated on CNC for accuracy and partial depth recesses - even those very first builds. Our proof on concept was literal 2x4s and Home Depot plywood, so you can definitely do *something* DIY. Just a question of your expected level of refinement and your handy skills.

Tempted to bite on this improved version, except the old one still works.

Drop us a line if you want to upgrade. Surely we can offer some sort of incentive to make the switch. We made pretty good simple systems, but we make *very good* refined and complete solutions now. It's a different ball game with the drawers and slide out tables (or CD30 tray or kitchen, etc...).

really nice! do you have a build write up for your rig?

I haven't updated that much lately, but I think that thread covers most the build! Nothing too crazy, just all the basics. I still want to rework the roof rack with more solar and update the battery/charger. Hopefully I can make that happen before the Mountain West Overland Expo where this will be on display with our kitchen product installed.

Very cool...maybe see you out there.

We had a great install the other day and put together a fun video of the process! This gives a good feel for the installation process for our systems a well, in a new, kinda fun way!

I take it this won't work with a landcruiser that didn't have third row seating?
We have a solution for that! We simply use longer 'runners' (rails along the bottom of the system) and we tie into the d-rings near the 2nd row seats. We've seen a few of these, typically the JDM versions.

Hey @Air Down Gear Up my fridge rack addition is on its way, but I wanted to grab a rotopax mount for it. Which do you suggest?
Whoa! Just realized we totally left you hanging on this! Were you able to get that mounted up?

It's been way too long since we've posted on here! Just had a beautiful right hand drive, diesel 100 in the shop yesterday so we figured we'd share! Super clean rig, loving the Dissent bumpers on the otherwise stock set up.

Hi Everyone!

CD30 Metal Tray .webp

We've recently upgraded our Dometic CD30 Drawer fridge offering on the 60/80/100/200 Series Land Cruisers. Before diving into this, we have to clarify that your non legacy-Land Cruiser friends DON'T get this option because their cars aren't big enough to support the width needed for the slide-out option.

As a brief overview, the tray allows for the Dometic CD30 drawer fridge to be mounted on a slide-out, which turns the top of the fridge itself into a work surface, provides a fast deploying work surface, and incoporates a storage tray intended to house a powerstation for the fridge.

We have seen an increase in demand for the slide-out-tray CD30 option, so we completely redesigned and upgraded this product. First and foremost, the structure is now all-aluminum. We wanted to further enhance long term durability while also 'cleaning up' the aesthetics compared to the previous design. The storage tray features provisions for routing straps to secure a power station for the fridge.

We also enhanced the coverage of the bezel, filling void space to give a cleaner, more finished look when everything is closed up. This also includes a front-access wing to the storage cubby located under the platform, which allows for access to the storage space without having to extend the tray.

What additional details can I provide about our CD30 Slide out tray on the 60/80/100/200 Land Cruiser?
