Bought my first LC a few months ago and feel like I missed out because the first post in this thread is exactly what I am looking for. Just a simple lightweight platform to sleep on and store things under that is also easy to remove. Seems like you guys do not offer anything like that anymore - what are the odds you sell those original design files and measurements? Would it even be feasible to DIY something like that?
We can offer a platform only, but it's not all that common. It's still well beyond "inexpensive" and you miss out on the benefits of our drawers like the increased work surfaces and ease of access to gear.
We don't sell design files, just as a general principle of the biz.
DIY: not exactly like what we do. Our design is predicated on CNC for accuracy and partial depth recesses - even those very first builds. Our proof on concept was literal 2x4s and Home Depot plywood, so you can definitely do *something* DIY. Just a question of your expected level of refinement and your handy skills.
Tempted to bite on this improved version, except the old one still works.
Drop us a line if you want to upgrade. Surely we can offer some sort of incentive to make the switch. We made pretty good simple systems, but we make *very good* refined and complete solutions now. It's a different ball game with the drawers and slide out tables (or CD30 tray or kitchen, etc...).
really nice! do you have a build write up for your rig?
Builds - The YotaMD Build - Cypress
The starter annoyance continues. I think it's am mix of weak battery and bad starter. Today it wouldn't crank on its own, but did crank with a jump pack attached. CTEK battery monitor had battery SOC at 73%. 12.4V while cranking before the jump pack. Anyways, here's a live update of the cargo...

I haven't updated that much lately, but I think that thread covers most the build! Nothing too crazy, just all the basics. I still want to rework the roof rack with more solar and update the battery/charger. Hopefully I can make that happen before the Mountain West Overland Expo where this will be on display with our kitchen product installed.
