Just purchased the SS1 sleeper with one drawer for my recently purchased 2006 LX470. I hope to have it installed for my Death Valley trip at the end of November. Next purchase will be the drawer fridge to fit underneath.

Trying to fit a fridge under the SS1? Like up front in the second row area with seat removed?

Also interested in what you come up with for a fridge! We have entertained the idea of trying to make something like Dometic CoolMatic CD 30 - Drawer refrigerator, 31 quarts work. It's very close to the dimensions of the actual drawer itself, with some drawer modifications we've often wondered if it would work.

This would handle the needs for a simple weekend trip for two people's worth of 'spoilables', so we've always been interested.

I have the SS1 and was wondering if there was a fridge option which could go underneath. good info.

Oh dang, that's pretty cool.

I have a 50 quart ARB that I've used on and off this year. I think I'll try out a drawer style instead. The 50 qt is just huge. Makes it hard to transport big things, like SS1 systems were shipping out. :)

I think the drawer fridge with a slim drawer under an SS1 would be as slick as any storage/fridge setup I've seen.

Suppose it all depends on your end use. The key for the SS1 for me is the flexibility. All summer long it's on camping duty, hauling my mattress and supplies. Winter time it flips to holding emergency gear and snow boards.

The idea of mounting the fridge is cool, but it would have to be able come out in the winter.

I carry a RTIC cooler around on top of the platform towards the rear, when we pull up to camp it lives on the front seat of the cruiser and that works for us.

anyway, SS1for the win, most space and configurations options possible.

One of the more difficult points to make online about the SS1 drawer system is just how smooth the action of the drawers is. Pictures don't quite get the message across, so I put this video together. My wife and I recently welcomed these new product testers into the world, and they approve!

A great customer shot of a recently installed Slide Out Table. Available for new and existing drawers!

This is tempting .....

How's the install process ? Any clearance / spacing issues ?

That specific customer pictured described the install as 'disappointing' because he wasn't able to finish his beer during the process. haha. We intentionally built clearance under the drawer from day 1 with the intent of eventually offering something like this. This takes up about 5/8" of space below the drawer and has enough clearance to not contact the tailgate when extended with the drawer still in place.

We supply some fancy 3d printed brackets to create an exact alignment, and then it's just a matter of 4 simple holes in the drawer, placing propnuts and then 4 screws.

Well, I received the SS1 on Monday and put it together on Tuesday and installed the drawer on Wednesday. It took a little longer than I had planned but that could be just because I’m old... Everything went together perfectly. Extremely nice design and feels very sturdy. Next I’ll try the mattress on top and add the drawer style fridge. I’ll probably add a cutting board under the drawer... it will be HDPE since I’m in the plastics industry!

Love seeing that V2 drawer. Let us know if you end up with an HDPE cutting board. We use that for the beauty panels, but were afraid to use it as the slide out table because it's so slick. We could foresee spilled beer and it just broke our heart, haha.

Kyle - I noticed on your website that this system isn't compatible with 4Runners with the 3rd row seat. Is this option in the works or has that use been ruled out?

Have you been able to find a lead or reseller for the Indel B drawer fridge? Quick google search doesn't really show any US resellers. I like the Indel B fridge over the Dometic and Engel since it has a covered compressor, higher drawer sides, and digital thermostat rather than the manual dial. I shot an email out to truckfridge.com to see if they are going to carry the TB30AM or can special order it.
