again, this is just readily available shop exhaust hose, 3 inch, I got a large 11 foot span of it for 100 bucks shipped.......

OK, we get it... But you're kind of taking a dump in someone else's thread.
But I don't want 11 feet of this stuff when I need less than 2 feet. So we pay somebody some money to cut it and ship it to me in a length I can use right away.
I and many others who have bought from BTUman are comfortable paying the extra $ for the convenience.
I spent $28 dollars, how much did you spend? $72 dollars more than me. I'll spend that $72 dollar difference on something else I can use rather than 9.5 feet of non crushable hose I will curse having to move around my shop.

reach for the decaf buddy, not dumping on anyone, someone asks about it and I responded, this is an open forum where everyone benefits via the transfer of information, you as well. Being that it is an open forum, people should have all the information to make informed decisions. If you are happy to pay someone to cut a hose, then do it, I don't care. Many people (not you) may benefit by having a full length of it as many of us have multiple cruisers (like me).
as far as dumping in threads go, I don't get it, again this is an open space with opinions and ideas, which are going to come up in any thread, whether you are trying to sell something or not. Moderator can decide if my posts are not ok, that is fine with me.

Noah, you're dumping in his thread because this isn't tech. This is HIS for sale ad and you keep posting that you can buy what he is selling somewhere else. That's a s***ty thing to do, period.
The OP did some research, found the hose, bought it, tried it out and created a market. People are buying it and aren't complaining about paying $28 for it.

Yeah, if it was like my 62 I restored it was different. It was two parts. One between the motor and intake canister and then from the canister around the inside fender and then up to the bottom of where the hood closes. Just found that picture on someone who ordered for a 60.

Ok so on a stock fj62 you have two rubber hoses between the intake filter and intake manifold. The first rubber hose has a molded hose connection on the side and the second one (that seems to be the one that cracks more often) is the one that I am looking to replace. As far as measurement of that piece just from eyeballing it seems to be about 8 inches. Can you (BTUMAN) tell me exactly how much hose would be needed and how much shipped to 71435. If so I would like to purchase one thank you. Here is a photo to help.

I can send you a foot long piece and you can cut to match, but you need to verify the diameter- this pipe is 3 inches with some stretch. I can't remember the diameter on the section.
I was under the impression that these were cut to fit. I said it looks close to 8 inches so if it's the same size as the fj40 then that would be great because I would not have to order extra. You can buy a 10 foot section of this stuff for 100 bucks that's 10 bucks for 12 inches, at your price for 8 inches I guess I just assumed your profit was for the fact that we order and it fits right on. If that's the case then sign me up.
