Hia all

I`m searching something who allows me to do my tracks also sometime alone - with a little bit more comfort.

The Videosystem from the Toyota Prado is very nice, and i m searching for simething like this.

Do you have me some tips?

You could use a switch to changes cameras into a single input video monitor. I'm actually planning to add two addl cameras to my rearview cam. I have a pioneer avic nav with an additional video in that I will use a two position rotary switch to select front or under carriage cam.

I was thinking the same thing. You could have a little switch panel with a toggle for reverse input (to engage the camera) and then a rotary to select the view. I would really like a right-side cam to self-spot on the trail Would save a lot of get-out-and-look time! Any suggestions on what to use for a video selector switch?

A double pole rotary switch of some configuration. I'm working on other electrical stuff (dual batt install) at the moment so I havent sourced specific switch. It wont be hard. DigiKey probably has something.

Maybe I'm reading too much into the problem, but my thought is that the composite signal is shielded and would need something like an RCA selector switch to preserve the signal. Would be nice to have something more elegant and dash mounted. A DPDT rotary would be excellent if the shielding is irrelevant.

A rotary switch can always have it's electrical side inside a small metal box. Take a look at a cheap non amplified video splitter. The outside metal case is the shield ground for the wires inside. Just add a switch.

Hi all, just caught up on this thread,

Thought I would post this link

https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/492206-reversing-camera-monitor-setups-locations.html

this is my link in the 80 section, as at first I was asking best location and setup within and for an 80 series.

However you can see my install so far, 3 view display at anyone time, can take 4 camera as an input.

Plus there is a guy there with a rotary switch exactly what you guys are looking for to switch the cameras around (which I will be adding to my setup soon) all home made, think there is a video there too on the setup.

The only problem is the wiring and the cables.. But it gives too a wireless Version of the Package.

I alreasy have a 10" Display, but it is to big for use them in the direct area of sight.

What do you think? The idea to get all of the cam on one screen - without additional hardware - is very sweet.
