I have searched and can't find anything.

What (if anything) is being used? This 55 will have a Ramjet in it and just looking for the AC evaporation unit itself.

Thanks.

Not OEM?

They arent too hard to find, and work VERY well, even that eco friendly stuff called r134a;)

If you are okay with the stock heater(which works well after a rebuild with shanes kit(aatlas1x)), then go OEM...

Later(post 9/73) ones have a center vent, but can send it to the floor or def.ducts, if your heater valve works well.

Yep! I have the OEM in my '55 and it works just fine with the R134a.

If you dont have to have stock you can just find a old hang under the dash evap, Ford used alot ,late 60,s and early 70,s chevy,s had a few. Just put A,C in my 40. Used a 72 Pick up under dash evap., a compressor off a 84 ford ranger, a condensor from a 86 ranger and a new recievr drier that fitt a pontiac. reason for the ford compressor and and pontiac drier was they used the push in lines and didnt need special fitting made. Have about $100 bucks in it.

Thanks for the replies concerning the AC units. We don't necessarily need a OEM unit but if they are available, then maybe I should look into one.

Anyone know of one for sale? It would be for a 1979.

I may also look into the FJ60 units and see what it would take to get one of those into it.

Thanks.

OEM A/C is available and is a bolt in for the newer trucks.

I'm running a Ram Jet and installed a Vintage Air Gen III system. It has four front vents , two in the middle and one on each kick panel and has two defrost vents.
