NOTE: Skip to post 18 for wiring diagrams as of 4 March 2026.

I am on a quest to add power locks, windows and a rear wiper to my 1995 LHD HZJ75 Troopy. There are couple of other threads I've started on related topics that I'll link below but it is my intention to close those and document the process here... both to be able to solicit info and to (hopefully) provide the info necessary for others to do the same.

These have some info that I'll likely replicate as we go on:

First of all I want to thank Zubair Safdar ( @Zee ) for sourcing the lion's share of the parts for these projects. He's a good man.

Here are some pictures of the current state of wiring at the rear of my LHD Troopy.

Right side rear, a large unused plug:

The harness at the right side rear (I hope to find wiring for the rear wiper in here, and maybe the power lock wiring for the left side is here also). (The PO made a mess)

Inside the left (small) rear door (this will be where the power lock mechanism goes):

Pictures of the components I purchased for these installs.

Are these the connectors to the main truck harness? These are the only unused ones in the harness that I received for the power locks and power windows.

Other than these two small connectors that I believe are probably for power mirrors?

I have not yet tried to match any of these connectors up to existing connectors in the truck.

Hello,

These are some of the connectors.

These images are from an LHD truck. I suppose RHD trucks have a reversed setup.

Let us begin with the left side.

This is the connector for the power mirrors on the LH side. The RH side is identical.

This is the connector for the power windows, again on the LH side. There is a similar one on the other side.

This connector is for the power locks.

This is where the harness enters the door.

This is the ground point for the instrument panel harness. Note the fuse box in the background.

Hope this helps.

More to come.

Hello,

Some more photos.

This is the LH side power lock connector. It can be accessed from the tool bag compartment. There is a similar one on the other side.

This is the LH side speaker connector. Yes, there is provision for two speakers, one on each rear door. The camera had a hard time with this one.

Now with the RH side.

This connector is unused. I think it powers the rear speakers amplifier.

This is the rear window wiper relay. A close up of the connector is next.

There is provision for an amplifier next to the relay. This amplifier boosts the rear speakers.

More to come.

So awesome... I look forward to getting out there to dig around in my truck to see if these are there!

Bringing back this thread as i'm finally getting around to moving forward with power windows and locks in the front doors of my LHD Troopy. I have everything wired up and working on the bench. (I'm also modifying the door lock wiring to allow for a wireless fob to lock and unlock in addition to an interior switch! details to follow)

So the current question is:
Are these the front speaker wires? They are offshoots from the window/door harness.

You must have too much time on your hands :)

Will it be at Dave's?

Got to keep busy.
No, I'll probably have the 40 at Dave's

Quick report: I have the power locks and power windows wired up on the bench. I have the power locks activated both with a rocker switch and with a wireless remote via a fob. The windows will be controlled via factory switches mounted in the doors. Full wiring diagram to come shortly.

Ok.... so here is what I have working on the bench. I have decided to forego the stock power lock & window harness, switches and relays in favor of a very simplified design. I loose the "auto" up/down and the ability to lock out the window switches but I don't see enough of a need for those.
