They want to use a non OEM trans cooler I've told the insurance company that I wanted OEM. If I don't win this battle does anyone think non-OEM transmission cooler will be a problem?

Had the same issue with my Tundra. OEM cooler was about 5x more expensive than aftermarket. The aftermarket looked exactly like the OEM, and I saw now temperature differences using a scangauge...

Tell your insurance company when you started your policy it was quoted for an authentic LX 570 (made in Japan) and you expect the same parts.

Don't accept the non-OEM parts of you have OEM as part of your policy. Your insurance is supposed to give you a car of the same quality of the one you had the day before you crashed it.

I don't know what the difference is, but I bet a Toyota engineer would have a reason for why the OEM part is much more expensive than the POS non-OEM part.

Glad you and your wife are okay @SWUtah - hard to fathom what spinning a 6000 lb vehicle off the highway must have felt like. Enjoyed your posts on the 100 forum when you had your LX. Do you think with the K02's and upgraded suspension that you wouldn't have spun in the 100?

I think I would've flipped because the KO's on my 100 series 275/70/18's and I had a 2 1/2 inch lift

I'll re-read my policy tonight to see if it says OEM if it does definitely

Using all Lexes brand replacement parts and if anything on my truck doesn’t look brand new they’re replacing it with a new part. Sounds good to me :)

Hang in there man. One part, estimate update, phone call to adjuster at a time and you’ll be back, and to your liking.

Turtle wins the race. That loaner is eating it to the insurance company’s costs. They need you out of the loaner as fast as possible.

First, I want to echo what everyone else has said - so glad to hear that you and your wife are OK. Spin outs are scary and dangerous. Had it happen to me on ice many years ago in W Va. I can still play that tape in my head. Round and round and no control.

Sounds like some of the replace parts are going to be newer than when you bought it! So good that you were in a strong vehicle.

You going to have them put an ARB bumper on instead of a stock bumper.

One reason I bought the 2015 is I love the front end. Have yet to see an after market bumper that added to the design of the 200. If I was going to spend any strengthening $$$ on my LX it would be a complete set of stainless sliders, by budbuilt. That would make the frame like a tank. For less then a bumper.

When I pickup my LX next week and drive 800+ miles home because they have had the battery disconnected should I look for any weird behavior while my LX relearns my driving style? Most driving will be higher speed interstates.

@SWUtah - DUDE!!! So glad to hear that you and your wife are OK. Man, this is just scary and most frustrting to go through. I hope the best for you!

Yes big pain in the butt. Glad frame and drivetrain and suspension were not affected. But Radiator, transmission cooler and air conditioning condenser were replaced so new coolant and freon . Will be checking every 100 miles at gas fill ups for correct coolant level and any leaks. The repairs are guaranteed for as long as I own the vehicle by my insurance company. I just want to make sure nothing more is damaged as I drive the 800-900 miles home. Guess I’m lucky I have this shakedown cruise to confirm everything is working right. They are also replacing the front camera the radar cruise control and the front bumper sensors any of that stuff the screws up’s not a big concern to me I can get it fixed when I get back home
