I hooked up my AC a little while ago, and the low side adapter broke and it shot all my R134A back out at me (scary!). I had the old adapter and put it back on so the system would be sealed. I just got around to getting the proper low side adapter (fitting) and tried to put some R134A back in there. It wont fill. The gauge says 'warning, see AC Specialist'. I am positive there is nothing in the system as I had to remove the adapter fitting thing to install the new one. Why isnt any freon being put into the system?

P.S. The compressor wont kick on, jsut noticed that...

Can i trick the compressor to be on?

could be clooged at the drier.

I know you put a bunch of stuff together on this. is it all originally r134a parts?

what brand and model of machine are you using to fill the system?

did you pull and hold a vacuum on it before you tried to recharge it?

No, its parts I got from KLF that have been retrofitted for R134A. ITs a brand new dryer, what vacuum?
Im just using the Oriellys brand refill kit.

I don't think that will work for "first fill" situation. As Wristy intimated, you normally pull a vacuum on the entire system to remove moisture and all (most) other gasses. You then fill the system with refrigerant.

Right, and also it checks for leaks.
If no vacuum will hold, you have a leak.

Yes, LilJ you need to have a pro pull a vacuum, if you want a quaility repair. Glad you got the parts from KLF. He is one of those top notch yoter gurus out here.
