I swapped all my belts while I was changing my radiator today and the damn AC tensioner bolt twisted and snapped off right where it goes through the slider. I need to take a closer look again tomorrow in daylight for what to do next. Anyone have this happen to them? how did you fix?

Did you loosen the pulley bolt first? If you didn't, that would break the tensioner bolt. You will need to unbolt the pulley, remove the tensioner and drill/tap the tensioner bolt out, replace. Or just tighten the belt by other means and tighten the pulley bolt.

I did loosen the pulley bolt first, it happened when i was re-tensioning. Is there a way to get the tensioner off the bracket?

One tap with the hammer and it came apart and off the bracket. The truck is noticeably quieter without he AC belt installed so I guess I isolated the noise too, new tension pulley adjuster and bolt on the way.

It seems finding the tensioner and pulley is easy but the bolt may require a few phone calls.

Cruiserparts came through with the new bolt.
