I've read several posts in regards to all of these lights being illuminated but have yet to figure out my issue.

2001 LC with 199k miles, new to me. I knew this could be an expensive fix before purchasing if it happened to be the entire brake/abs module but I'm trying to narrow it down myself without having to pay shop hours.

Brakes and brake lights work just fine, no loss of pressure. Ive done the test where you pump the brakes 40-50 times then turn on to see how long the brake motor runs. I timed mine at 35 seconds.

Ive tried jumping the terminals in the diagnostic port to get the ABS light to flash, however, all of the lights stay solid, but, the cruise control light starts flashing. I've also tried disconnecting the battery for an hour or so but the lights remained. The battery is older and I haven't checked the voltage output to see if this could be the cause. Of note, the transmission was rebuilt about 8k miles ago and I do not know if these lights were on prior to this or immediately after, or maybe not involved with it at all.

Would really appreciate any advice or help with this!

Sorry I’m just now getting back to this!

From that picture alone, this makes me think it’s the ECU. But like you said, without ruling out all of the other things, it’s not 100%.

Do you know if it will throw any codes? Once you get confirmation that the ABS and traction control will not throw a code/communicate, that’s usually the tell tale sign it’s the ECU-simple fix with just 4 plugs and 2 nuts.

My first through was the ABS module/actuator but I was able to rule it out with a series of tests. First, with the car off, pump the brake pedal about 50 times until there’s no pressure in it. Then turn the key to the in position and see how long it takes the brake accumulator to run. I believe the normal run time is around 35 or so seconds. That gives you a pretty good assumption that is usually ok.

I haven’t had my 01 LC for a month so I’m still new to all of this. No experience with the wheel speed sensors at this time.

Keep me posted and let me know how I can help in any way.
Thanks, I appreciate that — I’ll definitely try that brake pump test when I go see it.

I’m planning to check it out Thursday. Since the seller mentioned the ABS actuator was replaced, this helps rule out one of the bigger items, but I still want to verify everything myself.

Main thing for me right now is making sure the brakes feel solid and safe since I’d be driving it a long distance right after.

I’ll report back with what I find.

Wanted to give an update on my situation. I replaced the ABS, TRC & VSC module with a used one from eBay, and my dash lights all went off. If you are having the same issues that I have explained, and you are unable to get a code from the ABS system, then this may be your issue.

Thank you so much to everyone for all of the input, guidance, and help for this issue!

Would it be the same part for 2001 Lexus LX470? I have the same issue with ABS, VSC, & Brake light constants on, Techstream could not connect to provide any data, also jump terminal provide no code. TIA.

What's the part #? I have a '99 100 series
The accurate part number for your YM would be located on the actual part still installed in your vehicle, similar to what's shown in post #13 of this thread.

Thanks! I should have looked.

Thank you! I climbed under the dash yesterday (yes, the back hurts this morning) and was able to unbolt the unit to examine it. The top nut is a pain, but otherwise no real issues. I misspoke earlier; the vehicle is a 2000 100 series (not that it really matters).

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to drop a quick note to express how incredibly appreciative I am for this topic and this entire community. I’ve been postponing fixing the ABS, VSC, ect light issues on my Lexus for the last 15 years. Honestly, because it didn’t affect daily drivability, I just kept pushing it down the road.
I’m so glad I stumbled across this forum and this specific thread. It’s rare to find a place where everyone is so eager to help each other out.
Following the advice here, I managed to completely fix the issue. For anyone else sitting on the fence or dealing with the same problem, here is my biggest takeaway: go physically take a picture of your current module to ensure you have the exact matching part number, and then grab a used one off eBay.
I found a replacement module for around $110, and it literally only took about 15 minutes to swap out.
Thanks again to everyone who contributed to this thread and shared their knowledge. You saved me a ton of time, money, and headache!
Cheers!
