It's been a little while since I've posted a photo in this thread, lol.
I finally ordered a Toyota emblem for the front, but got one for something else I guess. No worries, I drilled a couple holes and stuck a couple screws in, and it doesn't look too bad from across the yard.

Today I've decided to do some routine maintenance, and revel the fact that I can finally do routine maintenance instead of constantly improving or repairing stuff.
I've changed the oil, and cleaned the air filter, and now trying to do an epoxy repair kit for a chip in the windshield. We will see how well that works...

I have been looking at these kits. How did the chip repair go? I have one on passenger side that I want to do before it gets any bigger.

The chip repair kit was super easy, and greatly improved the appearance if the chip, although it isn't entirely gone, you can hardly notice it unless looking for it. I wish I had taken a before Pic, but I'll post an after Pic in a little while. I think it would have worked even better if I had done a more thorough job cleaning the thing up, and making the pit in the center more uniform with a pin 📌.
Still, better than it was, and should keep moisture out.
In other news, my wife ordered me a little lighted Christmas wreath to attach to my bumper. It ended up being tiny but still a nice touch lol.

The past few days I've been buttoning up a few small things and checking regular maintenance items like diff fluid, etc, and packing the truck to go to Colorado and Utah for a few days.
Today is the day, and as soon as I get off work I'll go home and pick up my wife, kid, and dogs, and point the whole shebang West. I'm a little nervous, but figure with some caution, patience, and a buttload of tools and spare fluids/parts, I should be prepared for the trip. As many miles as I've put on this thing lately, there's not anything that needs attention to be reliable currently, so I think we should be ok. I absolutely can't wait to see the Rockies again. I'll likely never be able to live there, but not a day goes by without daydreaming of a trail ride through the San Juans or the views from in or above the canyons of Southern Utah. My soul needs the scenery, as well as the adventure of getting there in a rescued 40 year old rig that I've slapped together with duct tape and bubble gum, just to prove I can do it.
God help me if I can't, lol.

I had a ton of great photos from wheeling in the snow and exploring a few trails I've not seen before, but as soon as we got to Ouray I got in the hot springs with my phone in my pocket, and killed it.
Posting from my wife's phone now, so here are a few photos we took on her phone for now.
The 60 is still doing quite well, although I forgot to put antigel in the fuel, so yesterday morning, the thick, cold fuel was building some excess pressure and leaking around the o ring on the fuel filter. Once it warmed up, it quit leaking, and I've since added some antigel, so hopefully today it will be ok.

This morning we went to the Moab Rock shop and found some cool fossils and gemstones for our rock collection. After that, we went to Arches National Park and did some hiking and sightseeing, and scared my poor wife some more (we are realizing she's more afraid of heights than we originally thought, lol).
Once we had spent several hours oohing and ahhing over the amazing rock formations and learning cool geology stuff and learning more about how the terrain around Moab was formed, we met up with my new friend, @MoaByte , who showed us a fantastic time and led me and the boy around Fins N Things as the day faded into night.. Much fun was had, and we got to use our rigs for their intended purpose.
I really had a great time and was impressed with Shannon's rig, as well as quite pleased with how well my old pile did.
This trip to Moab has been hands down the best trip so far!

Don’t mess my cruiser up 🤣

It was humbling to see the 4bt at work. The Chief is not a novice driver and watching him and his boy gracefully negotiate the trail effortlessly made me wish we had more time. His boy loves rock hounding and ravens! Good to meet family I didn't know I had.
