1. I'm replacing my oil pressure sending unit, does anyone recommend using anti-seize or plumbers thread tape when installing the new sensor?

2. Also replacing the seal on my rear differential inspection plate. What is the torque fps when reinstalling the bolts? Also anyone had better results using the cork gasket alone, gasket w/RTV or just RTV?

That's why I don't like to use cork, I tend to tighten them til they smoke and cork will just squeeze out. Cork is good for a lot of places though. If I don't have a pumpkin gasket on hand, then straight rtv, but I like to use paper and rtv together if possible. :meh:

Somewhere along the line I came across the # 14 lb. Probably ment for a cork gasket. when you start going over 14 on today’s cork gasket it starts coming apart. I do not think the cork gasket of today are the same cork as original.

Using only rtv or right stuff works great unless you need to service a locker on a regular basis. For years I have just skim coated both sides of a paper gasket and snugged it up. Easy removal. Easy cleaning

I could see using some teflon tape on the sender, but they might be pipe thread anyway...

I have always heard gasket + RTV makes for easy clean up next time.

Incomplete sentence
Skim coat both sides of paper gasket “with black wheel bearing grease” and snug up
