99 LX470 - Rattle from Bell Housing.

Hi All

Just noticed that there is a hell of a rattle coming from this area on my high mileage lx470.
What it sounds like is a thrust bearing but this being an auto ....

Anyone have any experience with this as a common point of failure?

Could be a cracked flex plate. If you remove the inspection cover underneath the truck you may be able to look up enough to see.
