97 hilux suspension components (lift) in the USA (2 Viewers)

Somehow I managed to find and import a single owner 97 Hilux with 44,000KM and zero rust or mechanical issues. It even came with the service history every year it went in. It’s a LN-165 with a 2LTE. I’ll be blocking the EGR off, swapping thermostats, possibly adjust boost and putting a straight pipe on it.

What I’m having trouble finding is suspension components. I’d like to put a 2” lift on it or so to clear 33”s. From what I can see Swayaway has torsion bars but I’m having trouble finding rear leaf springs and I’d like to find shocks valved appropriately. Anyone have suggestions on places to look?

Great looking truck, congrats!

It is easier to find trucks in the post 97 body style. Especially now that we're in to 2024, and the 25 year rule covers them.

The older, fully mechanical trucks are more desirable, and much harder to find, particularly SFA trucks. Pre-1988 hiluxes even more so.

An automatic transmission! Nooooooo!

ARB. basically went with the full ARB kit, only had to change the rear shackles, to make everything work. i'll post pics and part #'s shortly.
