For sale is a 97 fzj80 in pretty decent shape to start building a solid trail rig from.
Recently the oil pressure has dropped of to alarming levels, the likely culprit cam, crank and rod bearings.
Engine will start and run at idle, not enough oil pressure to drive, will need to be trailered.
I don't have a dedicated work/storage space to wrench on it, so it might as well go to someone who does.

THE BAD

Known Issues:
Very low oil pressure, needs cam bearings(Engine can be run at idle, oil pressure not sufficient to drive).
Cracked windshield.
Time for new shocks(or lift kit).
A few dash lights are burned out(good time to replace with all LED).
Front seats are done(need recovered and corner gearboxes, motors good).
Trans cooler lines rerouted to external cooler only, after leaking problem with previous radiator.
Sun roof leaked, closed and sealed with silcone(common fix)
Factory spare tire carrier gone.
CEL is currently on due to error code P0401(insufficient EGR flow) EGR valve, actuator and vacuum lines replaced, needs the VSV(vacuum switching valve) replaced.
Birfields are loose but not wasted(if it is going to be wheeled heavily they should be replaced).
Pioneer head unit fully funtional, all speakers wasted.
Has a few hail dents in hood and roof(it does not look like a golf ball).
A couple of minor rust spots, drivers side rocker panel at rear wheel well and on the rear hatch.
Rear wiper needs new bushings, does work.
FM antenna removed(no good radio stations anyway).

THE GOOD

Exterior paint is still in decent shape.
All original bronze coated glass, except windshield.
All Diff locks functional.
Interior carpet, door panels, head liner, rear seats, dash and console are clean and in good shape.
Rear window defroster is functional.

This has been my daily driver/adventure vehicle for the last ten years and the most solid truck I have ever owned. I have performed all the maintenance myself over the years and now wish I had kept all the receipts.
I am willing to sell my 80 to someone who will love it as much as I have and build it into the trail rig it was destined to be.

Hate to see it go, but I just don't have the room to store it and work on it.
