I am going to start saving up to replace the entire exhaust system.
I broke the front O2 sensor stud off over the weekend and the muffler brackets on mine have already rusted off. I would assume the cats are on their way out too.
It looks like I can buy a complete new exhaust, manifolds all the way to the tip online. Has anyone done this? Besides being pricey, I feel like the old system lasted 25 years so a new one would too.

I was just looking at the same. Everything is pretty reasonable except for the cats. Those are 2/3 of the total price. I may use magnaflow for those sections and OEM for the rest.

I did. It’s OEM awesome.

I just did OEM muffler and tail pipe. Wouldn’t have it any other way, perfect fit. Recommend to get all new gaskets, rubber isolators and nuts as well. I destroyed mine removing everything.

Magnaflow Y-pipe instead of stock converters. It's stainless, which you need in Ohio. Stock muffler and tail pipe unless you want to go full stainless as well. Are your manifolds really bad? I replaced mine with some low-mile rust-free ones from the South.

Me too…very happly with the decision…wasn’t cheap…and getting the pipe over the rear frame crossmember wasn’t fun

You only cry once when you buy the best!! (but I chickened out of OEM from the sticker shock when had to replace stolen cats…). Whatever you do, make sure good quality stainless.

I would be interested in what a quality exhaust shop would charge to build it vs buying the modular components. I’m finding reports that the Magnaflow parts aren’t the same Magnaflow parts from the past.
