I bought this 4runner over the past summer from a family friend who was the original owner. I was planning on using it to teach my daughter how to work on trucks, unfortunately she quickly lost interest and I have not had the time. The wife has lost patience and wants it gone. Current Condition: Not running and engine is partially disassembled. The PO was driving and had some white smoke, brought it in and determined it was head gasket. Engine never overheated and car was not driven after issue. I disassembled the top end and found 1 cylinder that had coolant in it, after inspecting the gasket I could see an indentation in the gasket next to that cylinder. I partially cleaned the head and did not see any cracks so went ahead and ordered a new gasket set and head studs. That is how it sits right now.
My plans were to finish cleaning up the heads and reassemble. Almost everything came apart easily, the headers were a bit of a pain. Rust is not too bad but it is an east coast truck so there is some. Some dents and dings on exterior. Interior is in good shape (I will add some interior pictures later today). Tires and battery are in good shape. Brakes were recently done. The drivers side floor board including the seat mounts was recently replaced.
I am selling it for how much $ I have into it, including the new parts. I think its worth that much parted out or in scrap but would rather see it go to someone that will get it back on the road. Obviously it will need to be towed.
