Thought I would start a thread for my build. I am doing a Cummins 6BT swap into my 1995 FZJ80 using the duiser conversion kit. Also doing a 3" suspension lift(using a combination of OME, slee components) with heavier springs to deal with the extra weight, an ARB bumper up front, and BFG LT315/75R16, All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. Once it is up and running I plan on doing the 4x4 labs rear bumper with swing-out spare, warn winch up front, and custom rock sliders.

Here is the 95' FZJ80, I bought it with a blown engine, with the intent of doing the 6bt swap. It is in really good shape, and has the factory front and rear lockers. Needs a little love cosmetically but for the most part is in really good shape.
Didn't think about taking a picture until I already had it pushed into the garage, so this is the best view you get I guess.

I picked up a Cummins 6BT diesel from a totaled 95' Dodge. I was told the engine was rebuilt 40k miles ago, though there is no way to verify that. It does have the newer storm block so it definitely was rebuilt at some point and it is in really good shape. It is the 215HP p-pump version. The PO had plans to put it in an old Ford pickup or something, but his plans changed, and he sold it to me. Unfortunately he painted it red, so I will have to paint it black again.

Front and rear suspension installed, was late when I took this so it is not the greatest picture. no weight in the front so the altitude is a bit higher than it will be once the engine is installed of course.

I did the KDP fix, and replaced the front and rear seals. Also threw a new oil pan gasket on.

The alternator on the cummins is externally regulated, so I ordered the transpo kit to convert the alternator to make it internally regulated. Was super easy to install, and will be cake if I need to transfer it to a new alternator.

Accessory adapter installed and all the accessories installed. Didn't take any pictures, but the fan pulley housing was swapped with the one provided in the kit to relocate the fan, and I put a new bearing it while it was out. Also have the intake tube installed.

You bought your kit through Duiser? Why not through Dustin who makes it?
Duiser owns dieseladapters now from what they told me. I think Dustin still makes the parts but the kits are sold through duiser now.

Got the updated converter back, wish I had the bell-housing so I could install it.

Dustin actually bought the duiser business about 2 months ago, they now they have both the machining and installation sides of the business.
