I have it running through a relay and the toggle switch gets its power from a key on source. I knew that I would kill the battery if it were left up to me remembering to turn it off.

I did have an optima battery die this weekend. At a stop light the turn signal went to about half speed and the accelerator pedal didn't work. When I measured the voltage of the batter it was just over six volts. Some how I lost half my cells??? I assume it wont charge and I'm going to see if I can get some money back.
That is a bummer. I've had an optima die like that before (yellow top). Bought it through a local autozone. They took it back and gave me a new one under warranty. I don't think the quality is there anymore with the optimas, and that's a bummer.

I didn’t have mine. They just looked me up in the system and there it was. Hopefully things work out for you.

I just got the AC working and fixed a boost leak. With the AC on full driving up hill in 90* heat it stays cool as long as the fan is on. Since I have the intercooler and condenser in front of my radiator with room for air to go out the sides in between each one I think my heating problem is due to poor air flow. I can drive 99% of the time with my fan off and it runs within normal limits. The temp rises while driving up hills slowly but stays right where the thermostat opens when the fan is on. If I had an engine fan with a fan clutch I wouldn't even have noticed any of this.
