the 40s/50s/60s/BJ&HDJ70s/80s rear have all 9,5" diffs, so all most every cruiser...

Front diffs till 90 are essentially the same as the rear. (asside from semi float vs. full float differences)

the 40s/50s/60s/BJ&HDJ70s front have all 9,5" diffs, so all most every cruiser...

this is not rocket science, read a little and check the different series techs... then you wont have to ask so much and looking to say the least lazy! Good thing this is not pirate... ;)

I cant beleive this has gone on for 20 posts on a "landcruiser board"

9.5" rears in all of em, and 9.5 fronts in all of em, except the 80. That had a HP 8"

As far as I know....:grinpimp:

Geez guys. Front and rear of the 40/55/60/62 are all the same. You can use a front in the rear, and rear in the front. The only difference is the front is full float, the rear is semi-float with c-clip axle shafts.

The 80 series has the same diff in the rear as the above, except in 93 they went full float in the rear. Front was the 8" high-pinion as mentioned which will fit mini's.

Gear ratios and pinions changed over the years, but the housings were mostly the same.

I have a rear diff from an FZJ80 in the front of my 1969 FJ40.
